House Greyjoy and their quotes (part 1)
I swear to you, this house is a very big surprise. And not only if you've only watched ‘Game of Thrones’ House Greyjoy rules over the Iron Lands and their words are 'We Do Not Sow’ but usually they always use 'What is Dead may Never Die’ as well. And their sigil is a gloden Kraken on a black field. But this you know. As we know Theon Greyjoy and his constant search for a place. He lived in the North but he wasn't a Stark, but he is a Greyjoy that know nothing, or very little about being an Ironborn and this leads him in a very dangerous path. And his father Balon Greyjoy didn't help at all his son in this. He was too focused on regain power and be once again King of the Iron Island. And that we know. But did you know that Yara Greyjoy do not exist? She does not in her place there is a much cooler woman called Asha Greyjoy This woman leads her own ship, Black Wind, and she dows not believe in the #drownedgod After the death of her father Asha who is fighting her right to the throne of Pyke, against her uncles Victarion Greyjoy , a brave and frightening man, who now is trying to find Daenerys Targaryen and marry her, and Euron Greyjoy. Euron is nothing like what you saw in GOT. One of is eyes is covered by a patch and his lips are blue, due to him drinking Shade of the Evening and he is known by the name of the Crow’s Eye. Fascinating and terrible, it seemes that he travelled everywhere and that he posseses the horn that can bend dragons to his will, that now belongs to Victarion. The last is Aeron Greyjoy who was once a very charming man, but at some point it says that he drowned and then came back to life, bounding his exsistence to the Drowned God. Now Euron had taken hostage Aeron, who is his own brother, and he is forcing him to drink Shade of the Evening giving Aeron visions when he sleeps. Greyjoy House is very facinating, I didn't expect for them to be so. Euron, I'm sure knows things, and Victarion and his quest to find Dany gets me curious. Asha wants to find her brother Theon, that now has finally escaped the Boltons. I need Winds of Winter.I want more informations!
The Storm is coming...
In this meta I will try to show the hints and foreshadowings of a future union (but not in a good way) between Euron Greyjoy and Daenerys Targaryen.
First I want to say that I don’t ship them romantically or anything (Euron is a sick jerk after all) .
But I believe that story will bring these two characters together one way or another.. (couple/partners/allies/enemies etc)
Euron will cost her a lot.
Let’s go...
Bad boys everywhere
Hey, so: I know that Greyjoys aren’t going to be your aesthetic vs Targaryens, but given that I have seen interest in strong, dominant, morally... dubious types, thoughts on book Euron Greyjoy?
Oh man Euron Greyjoy in the books is a whole other entity entirely! He's absolutely fascinating, and in my opinion gave the Greyjoys a real sense of threat and danger. Ngl to you, prior to that the only character I found interesting was Asha, but the whole Ironborn culture wasn't really something I was too fond of lol. However the Crow's Eye completely flipped the tables for me. He's absolutely terrifying lmao (& hot as fuck, not gonna mince my words here).
I'm really intrigued by his travels on the Silence, his visits to Asshai and Valyria, his entire sinister aesthetic, his obvious connection to Bloodraven and his intentions for Victarion and the dragon horn (bar killing off Victarion lmao). I want to know more about his relationship with Aeron and the childhood memories Aeron has tried to repress his whole life. He's one twisted mf, isn't afraid of kinslaying or touch of incest, his morals are completely warped and frankly shocking but I find that extremely juicy and compelling lmao. I just want to know what he intends to achieve, because after Tywin's death he's one of the biggest 'mortal' threats to Westeros and I'm really keen to know where his arc will lead. I have a niggling suspicion that Euron was the initial protege Bloodraven may have been training before he went full on dark side... idk lol I'm really annoyed that the show turned him into such a joke but then again they did that with all the main and essential characters so I'm not surprised. The washed up rockstar pirate look was not cute. I'd have loved to have seen a truly menacing, shade of the evening drinking Euron with an eye-patch and blue lips, but I guess we don't always get what we want in life...
But since I have begun my foray into drawing truly questionable characters of late, I am itching to draw him soon too...
Sketch of Euron b/c I’m still mad about what the show did to him. I always envisioned his “smiling eye” to always have an extremely contracted pupil, like Mr. Teatime from Discworld.
