People who love burgers will love this treat!
Ingredients: 1 lb ground beef. 1/2 lb chorizo sausage, casings removed. 1/2 cup breadcrumbs. 1/4 cup finely chopped onion. 1/4 cup chopped fresh cilantro. 1 tsp cumin powder. 1 tsp smoked paprika. Salt and pepper to taste. 4 hamburger buns. 4 slices cheddar cheese. 1 cup vegetable oil for frying. 1 large onion, thinly sliced. 1/2 cup all-purpose flour. 1/2 tsp garlic powder. 1/2 tsp onion powder. Lettuce, tomato, and condiments for garnish.
Instructions: Put the breadcrumbs, chopped onion, cilantro, cumin powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper in a bowl. Add the ground beef and chorizo sausage. Well mix until all the ingredients are mixed together evenly. Split the mixture in half and shape each half into a burger patty. Warm up your grill or pan on the stove by setting it on medium-high heat. The burger patties should be cooked on a grill or stove for four to five minutes on each side, or until they are done the way you like them. Put a slice of cheddar cheese on top of each patty and cover them for the last minute of cooking. This will melt the cheese. For the crispy onion straws, heat the vegetable oil in a separate pan over medium-high heat while the burgers are cooking. Put the onion slices, all-purpose flour, garlic powder, and onion powder in a bowl and mix them together. Toss the onions in the flour mixture until they are covered all over. Put the onion slices carefully into the hot oil and fry for three to four minutes, until they are golden brown and crispy. Take the onion straws out of the oil and let them drain on paper towels. After making the burgers, put a tomato slice and a lettuce leaf on the bottom half of each bun. Cook a chorizo beef patty and melt some cheddar cheese on top of the tomato. Add a lot of crispy onion straws and any condiments you like to the top of the burger. To finish the burger, put the top half of the bun on top of the toppings. Enjoy your Chorizo Beef Burger with Crispy Onion Straws while it's still hot.
