martin and jon find themselves sent back to the institute, not long before the events of tma s1 take place. but something is wrong.

(or, jmart gets sent back in time a little and also recieves the jarthur treatment.)

here’s jarthur finally getting some time to relax and properly acknowledge their reunion sometime on their journey to new york! i firmly believe that they must´ve stopped by a motel at some point and gotten a good night´s rest (and proper meal) at least once after escaping larson’s.

i turned lemon shark hsy into a keychain using shrink plastic! she turned out super cute…

wip of my first real animatic… hoping i’ll be able to finish it someday! so far, i’m about halfway done with it.

the song used is “flowers” from hadestown and this animatic is based on MAG 170. more thoughts below the cut!

i love hadestown and i thought this song was really fitting for this episode. i thought about using it for an animatic based around MAG 159, but ultimately decided it worked better with MAG 170 because of the fact that martin is actively trying to remember what he’s forgotten, and the “is anybody listening?” is works quite well with him talking to the tape in the episode. very nervous to start on the “i remember fields of flowers” section because I plan on using some color for that section as martin tries to recall a memory of himself and jon in the aforementioned field. a field of irises!

day 5: scars

i have this hc that martin’s hands were left frostbitten from the lonely. his frostbitten hand and jon’s burned one reach for one another.
