Non-dinosaurians from the Denver Museum of Nature and Science
For those who haven't seen them yet: we turned my retro formation designs into shirts as well now =)
See more on @252mya
More are in the works!
Boy howdy is this post kinda late. Year six timeline for The Sanctuary Pack is now complete! Another turbulent year for Sanctuary's wolves.
Misc notes under the cut:
"The Final Blow" Two Enteledonts have successfully chased down Poebrotherium. Screw shrinkwrapped-hell-pig depictions and bring in the chubby-hell-hippo depictions.
The final animation for the camel gate on daedon, the gate is based on their foot anatomy/their relatives of hippos running at full speed, this gate isn’t uncommon with a lot of ungulates and I’m layer going to be using a Buffalo and camel for the full run due to their huge neural spines and padded feet, but for now we get the quick little jont.
Planning for this to be a full animation via a full stop, to walk, to canter, to gallop, to run, and then slow down and stop, and start again.
Because someone was talking about entelodonts
Daedon and archeotherium are the two most known, though daedon is much larger than their smaller archeotherium cousins which give me peccary vibes while daedon given me hippo
I’m still working out the nasal and cartilage structure and looks at more muscle structures on the jaw and face of these two
Both closely related to hippos and cetaceans more so than most bovid
Was playing around with daedon again(forgot to take a pic of the skull before drawing over it)
It’s hard to find a shot of the fossil facing forward(did my best)
My tablet is broken so sorry if this is all pencil sketches. I was too lazy to scan them.
Enjoy these wide faced beasts
