Species Profile: Duhrug

The Duhrug or Corpse Hog (Osmagodon Gore) is a relatively small Paluentelodontid, though among Earth taxa its 800kg makes it larger than the average Daeodon. This animal is part of the Social Scavenger group, but rarely scavenges - this predator hunts other scavengers, which aren’t a part of it’s group. Duhrug bond to a Scavenger Crew and defend it ferociously, they will attack any creature attempting to infiltrate the group, be it a small Nikirichi or a large Pangolin. While beneficial in the short run, as the Crew fractured due to a lack of new members the Duhrug is forced to locate a larger group.

While not aggressive against Earth Humans, this animal can influct nasty bites even while non-threatened. Its jaws rival Earth Hippos in strength and their teeth are long and robust.

Duhrug have not been domesticated nor are they particularly willing to Fate and thus not much is known about these animals from the people who live among them.

Tried doing a proper entelodon skull study at work.

I used this as my reference, turns out it was actually a skull of Archaeotherium mortoni. Still pretty cool to draw a different entelodontid for a change.
