Little backstory: I drew these sketches a few weeks after the series finale of Game of Thrones and I was on a Hobbit/LOTR watching binge because I needed a fantasy series story that just ended better. I came across the idea of Daenerys being the face model of Thranduil's wife in so many fan vids or images that I was thought: you know what, let's have some fun with this idea?
Instead of doing just that, let's give her a better AU crossover ending where Drogon takes her to Middle Earth, has her resurrected via magic and she meets and marries Thranduil and has children with him including Legolas. (In this AU of mine, she wouldn't die like in the Hobbit movies because she deserves a happy ending damn it!)
Honestly, I would make an entire AU backstory that she and her group traveled to Middle Earth with her three dragons and just stayed there too.
I've debated on whether or not to post this for years but people have asked me for months if I'll make any more Game of Thrones art or J/onerys art, and my answer has been vague like maybe one day? But I will clarify to say.... it's complicated.
I still love the characters of Game of Thrones prior to what they did in to them in season 7-8 that I would love to make art for them, it's just I'm so uninspired to make anything for the show with how mean-spirited and out of character the ending was that I can't bring myself to make anything for the series anymore outside of an AU where Daenerys and her friends don't have anything to do with Westeros because F*ck Westeros and their white walker problems.
I'm still very bitter and angry with how that show ended and forever will be that maybe I'll make AU crossover art with Daenerys x Thranduil being a power couple like they could be. 😁😁
So I should say that I still like Jonerys but I would just ignore anything in seasons 7-8 if I was to make art of them again but like I said before, it will be a long while before I make art of them properly.
Maybe, I'll redo these sketches and finish properly if you guys want to see it.. we'll see.
