alright alright but imagine in the Shepard twins AU Alec is the mentor of the Shep twins in the N7 program and they remind him of his own kids so much!! sometimes he tries not to cry bc he misses Scott & Sara, John & Jane are so much like them but they're bitter bc they grew up without a family and it makes his heart hurt,,, I'm having a lot of feels excuse me

Alec being a father figure to anyone but his own kids always kill me a little 

and we know the Ryder siblings had some “informal” N7 training later but it’s not the same thing. What would they do if they meet John and Jane and they’re talking about their dad like “we were lucky to have him around”????
