The Garment by Robert Cole
Click through, there are other photos of people who made The Garment
it makes me so furious when i want to know about a specific ass species of animal and theres only like 6 existing photos of it. like im actually going to pass away if humanity as a whole doesnt release more pied butterfly bat images
i hate that diet culture means all the tasty drinks everywhere are loaded with stevia now. this isn't even a stance about health, I just think it tastes so fucking bad
It actually pisses me off in general bc several studies have shown that alternative sweeteners STILL cause insulin issues because your body releases it based on the TASTE of sugar, not the specific molecule.
On top of that a lot of the sweeteners, like monkfruit, are horribly extra sweet so it still fucks with insulin AND it tastes like shit and we'd be better off just titrating our threshold for sugar down to something more reasonable.
SOME people need sugar-free options and SOME people want calorie free options but in the vast majority of situations, alternative sugars are worse for us than just regular sugar. The issue is moderation.
formal menswear enthusiasts want to slut it up so bad but they're frightened. so they wear shirt-stays and sock garters under their clothes. this is my scientific theory it's making waves in the guyologist world right now
like seriously. seriously. "oh I just want my shirt to stay tucked in and my socks to stay up" riiiiiiight.
Am I the only one who views this/type of guys that wear these attractive? Or does anyone else think this I wanna know..
(blocking the note count with my incredibly broad-shouldered frame) yuppp it's just you my friend. sorry
this is masculine lingerie. Feminine lingerie mostly came from similar things in women's fashion -- garter belts etc. I think there is a lot of room for developing it more, but this is, imo, absolutely masculine lingerie, and i wish men's fashion designers would start focusing on that more
don't forget sleeve garters and suspenders
since i've seen it asked what purpose sleeve garters serve:
Sleeve garters are just so you can keep your cuffs right where you want them, typically used professionally by people like bartenders, who are wearing dress shirts to do manual labor and don't want their cuffs brushing through spills when they are wiping down the bar etc... but also useful for keeping cuffs exactly the right length for your suit without having to tailor all your shirts, or, if you have several suit coats with slightly different length sleeves, you can always have your dress shirt's cuffs showing that perfect half inch below the suit sleeve or whatever the fashion is for the time
right now it's about 1/2 an inch, but that's the sort of thing, like tie length, that can change a little with fashion trends -- but basically, you never want your shirt cuffs to be doing this
Because that looks SO sloppy, right? Looks like you're wearing your father's shirt under your little brother's jacket
BUT! you do want the cuffs showing, like this
because it makes the suit sleeve look precise and on purpose, or you might push it and show even more if you are wearing nice cuff links
because this clearly still looks purposeful and precise, and shows off your jewelry.
often, fashion dictates taking any opportunity to show your layers -- for example in medieval europe it was fashionable to literally slash expensive outer garments so you could ALSO see some of the expensive clothing underneath, which is how before long you get "slashed" sleeve patterns like this becoming popular among the wealthy
(notice the roughly half inch of sleeve cuff showing at the bottom here as well)
So a sleeve garter allows you to keep your sleeve cuffs positioned exactly where you want them, for either fashion or activity

Could you use a laminator to iron quilt blocks??
If you are attracted to a girl it's important to show her sinister artifacts and relics
today I found out my mother doesnāt know what dandelions are and now Iām wondering what other strange secrets sheās been quietly harboring
Where do you live that you donāt have dandelions?
we have dandelions EVERYWHERE, they are basically our State Weed, it is absolutely impossible that my mom has never interacted with a dandelion before, this requires further investigation
So after extensive interrogation I have an update:
my mom is in fact aware that dandelions exist. she temporarily forgot the name and there was some miscommunication.
the truth is actually weirder
sheās aware dandelions look like this
she is familiar with this flower. she knows the name of this flower. she declines to believe, however, that these are also dandelions
she does not believe these are the same plant. I tried to explain, and she thought I was either misinformed or lying. so I asked her what exactly did she think the yellow ones were called?
she answered, with complete confidence: Daffodils.
gosh I enjoy this website
For comparison, this is a daffodil
See, folks in the southern US will tell you up and down those are buttercups, actually.
i donāt think so? iām southern and buttercups are what we call these things (much tinier)
Wait I thought those bigger cup ones were Easter Lillies???
This is an Easter Lily. It is an actual lily and therefore deadly to cats.
Theyāre marigolds and I know a bitch when I see one!
This is a marigold:
ā¦.we need to start taking the phrase āgo touch grassā more literally. go outside and examine a flower i beg u
ābuttercupsā is a name applied to MANY flowers. in my part of the south it was this one:
imo thereās correct identifications of dandelions, daffodils, easter lilies and marigolds in this thread, but buttercups are simply impossible to agree on and the only solution is for everyone to post pictures of their local buttercups
*squints* is that a motherfucking EVENING PRIMROSE?!??
Hello I would like to add to the confusion:
That purple fella is a Morning Glory as told by my mothers (texan)
ā¬ļø morning glory
wait so if thats morning glory what is this?
*Puts hand over gaudās mouth* Itās a butterfly pea. Please ignore the Latin name.
*licks ur palm* i wonāt be silenced THE PEOPLE HAVE TO KNOW
sailors used to mutiny and become pirates
evidently I did not arrange the blankets to her liking
okay, she's settled down
my cousins made fun of me last weekend because Chiefcake has a bed frame and I donāt
sorry to everyone out there who thinks they have the funniest tshirt but i think i can confidently say i just saw the actual funniest tshirt just now. i passed by a beautiful black woman with long multicolor braids blowing majestically in the beach breeze & she was wearing an oversized tshirt that said in gigantic letters "WHITE BOY OF THE YEAR"
do u ever think about corn sweat; and the fact that a large percent of corn grown in Illinois, iowa, etc is grown for ethanol and biofuel; and how solar power would be so many times more effective per acre than this; and how like 90+% of so many rare ecosystems in those states was drained for farm and suburbs (in many cases previously farms).
AND you could still have native plants around and even under the solar panels.
When you see what they did to the Midwest you'll want to fucking kill the corn lobbyists with your bare hands
The body falls apart.
not to sound like the friend that's too woke but why does this police station toyset for a 5yr old need a weapons safe full of tiny toy-sized automatic rifles. just asking.
how it feels to be aware of your paranoias btw
