Damuel x Soldiers at the Gate
How the Gate Soldiers react to Damuel.
As soldiers of the Gate, these commoner's have to screen everyone heading into the capital of Ehrenfest, whether they be commoner or noble. However, as commoners, any minor offense against the nobility entering the gates can earn a severe punishment. For commoners who lack etiquette training, interactions with nobles is a potentially lethal task.
As Lady Rozemyne's head knight and as a laynoble, Damuel is in a position where he communicates with both nobles and commoners. Knowing Myne's true origins, he acts as a shield for commoners against the nobility by handling the communication between the soldiers and nobles for urgent issues, such as when Clarissa arrived at Ehrenfest without the proper paperwork, or when the nobles needed to communicate information about the upcoming invasion from Ahrensbach. Even more so, he fought along aside them during the invasion itself.
He's a legit super star to them.
just learned a character in the story I'm reading (ascendance of a bookworm) named Damuel was originally going to be named Samuel but the author mistyped his name and just went with it. that's the funniest shit to me. imagine if your parents named you Felix but mistyped your name as Gelix and now you're named Gelix for your whole life. this is exasperated by how Damuel is like the saddest most pitiable poor little meow meow. not even his name is right bro. holy shit.
I could see Damuel covering his ears out of the corner of my eye; this evidently wasn't something that he wanted to hear about right now.

Honzukino Gekokujou (Season 2) - Review
Our beautiful girl Myne😊 came back with the continuation of her journey in the search of being able to create and read books.
About: After all that happened during season 1, Myne learns that the Holy Church is in need of mana for their relics, so she sees it as her chance to be cured of her life-threatening mana disorder. After seeing their bountiful library, she begs to join their order. In exchange for her service and her unusually bountiful supply of mana, Myne is given the blue robes of a noble-born apprentice priestess, despite being a commoner. As Myne transitions into the next phase of her life in this new world, she soon learns that achieving her dream has come at a heavy cost. Noble society is severe, unforgiving, and fueled by politics and neglect.
Thoughts: I love Myne and everyone around her, this time we saw another side of her, she had to learn and grow a lot because now she have people who truly dependent on her. In this season we saw how Mayne struggles to create a bound between the church and her retainers. This isn’t that easy for since she had to adopt a much serious posture to make everything work, but thanks to Lutz and the others around her she manage to solve it all. Also we saw a new and important relationship for Myne, Ferdinand is the head priest and becomes Myne patron and educator, he is really serious but I’m sure he has a soft spot for Myne.
I’m glad they made season 2, it got me really excited because she finally made books! and slowly she has become more skillfully with her duties and more mature. I loved that we still got her beautiful relationship with Lutz, and how things are really changing for them. This is a soft story full of wonderful events really worth watching.
My final score is 8/10
