how much do you think the 3 hunters talked while they were searching for merry and pippin? of course they were busy during the day and tired at night (if they even stopped) but the few times they rested, what do you think they learned about each other? did legolas share songs from mirkwood? did gimli tell them about the beauty and splendor of the dwarf cities hidden in stone? did aragorn tell stories from his years as a ranger? did they talk about boromir and sam and frodo and merry and pippin? or about their families and friends back home? or about the future of middle earth and what they had yet to face?
