I was actually stunned that Armand would say something like that, especially to Daniel's daughter (if it's confirmed). Wouldn't that mean that Daniel also knows? Already? And why would Armand even tell her starting with 🤔
I haven't seen the video (I just saw the transcript), but it seems like an interview or some sort...

Okay, so the dialogue between Armand and Daniel's daughter. From seeing the actual audition video, yes, it is very much Daniel's daughter interviewing Armand. When I first watched that video, in fact, one of my thoughts was, "Is she working with her dad on Lestat's documentary or something?"
So yeah, this dialogue isn't just from some personal convo they have with each other. Daniel's daughter is very much interviewing Armand, on camera, for... some reason.
Now, from the context of the video alone, there is no way to know if Armand and Daniel had met and talked before Armand spoke with Daniel's daughter here like this.
However, at the time I first saw the video, we did know there was at least one scene between Armand and Daniel that had already been shot because Eric spilled the beans about it during Comic-Con that he and Assad had already filmed a scene together, and that it was "intense."
Which, given the timing when he said that, means the scene Eric was talking about having filmed with Assad likely happened in episode 3x02, given that it was around the filming of episode 3x02 that Assad first showed up on set to start filming.
And it was only up to episode 3x02 that they would have had time to film before Comic-Con happened, since, at this point, it is very clear that, for the most part, they are filming the episodes in order.
And now, from this past week, we have the pics from a fan who was there of Assad and Eric filming something from episode 3x05 in a park.
So, given that Armand and Daniel have probably met up at least twice that we know of at this point, then I think they very well might have talked about some of the things Armand tells Daniel's daughter from the audition video.
The only thing we don't know specifically yet is which episode Armand has this interview with Daniel's daughter in, where he says these things to her.
The only thing for sure that I think we can tell, because of the line about "on the other side of the park," is that (if it happens in the show) it takes place either in, or sometime after, episode 3x05.
As to why Armand would tell her that stuff in the first place? Honestly, we don't have enough context to know why at this point, IMO. Hell, as I've said, I've seen the audition video, but the way the actor read and acted the lines was his interpretation of the character. The character name given to him for the audition wasn't even Armand's name; it was "Rupert."
So, without having actually seen Assad act out the dialogue and scene, I can't even begin to guess what the actual tone of the scene is supposed to be, never mind the full context of it. So I don't want to fully speculate here on that part of it all just yet.
And yes, Armand sitting at the end of Daniel's bed, watching Daniel sleep off a drug fix, is an image. (Which, btw, also contains another dialogue switch between the two times the actor did the scene. The first time he did the scene, he said he'd "sleep" at the end of the bed. The second time he did the scene, he said he'd "sit" at the end of the bed.)
Anyway, it's an image that I love so much because it's simultaneously lovely and fucked up. Daniel, high on who knows what drug, and trying to sleep the fix off; while Armand, who has plans to kill Daniel, is just there, close to him, either sleeping or sitting at the foot of the bed as Daniel does so.
Which, well, is so them, and therefore so very Devil's Minion. 😀
