i saw the video when it was posted so i can confirm its real, its from the same actor who got that other audition tape leaked.
would love to know your thoughts on this and how it changes any theories you may have on dm.

So, okay, first full disclosure: I, too, saw the actual audition video that this transcript is taken from. I first saw it a few weeks ago, back in mid-August, in fact.
And just to confirm that I have seen it, I will say that the actor in question did the scene twice in the video of it that I saw. He acted out Armand's dialogue in a different way the second time he did it than the first.
Oh, and the missing dialogue bit from the transcript linked, and the transcriber wasn't able to tell what was being said? In the actor's first read of the line, he says:
"Fakes death high and dry, right when we needed him most."
In his second read of the line, he says it like this:
"Fakes death, right when we needed him most."
So yeah, during the second read, he left out the "high and dry" bit. And I suspect/guess that the "Fakes death" line is supposed to be "Fakes his death and leaves [...]" or something like that.
As for its validity to the show as a whole (and not just as an audition piece), well, we just recently got fan photos of Assad and Eric filming in a park. And the fact that the dialogue from the audition video ends with Armand apparently telling the off-camera voice -- who appears to be one of Daniel's daughters -- that she can find her dad "on the other side of the park"?
Yeah, that was pretty much it for me when it came to confirming if the dialogue used in that audition was from a shooting script or not. (Though I honestly always suspected it was.) Seeing those park-filming pics with Assad and Eric really made me smile for more than one reason. 🙂
My only real surprise was the reveal, due to those fan pics of them filming, that the dialogue from that audition might likely be from episode 3x05 or even episode 3x06. Because when I first watched that audition video, I thought the scene and dialogue were from episode 3x08, given what Armand says at the beginning of it about Lestat. (Because it sounded to me like the attack on the concert happened, which was something that happened right before Lestat was taken by Akasha later that same night, after that event.)
And who knows? Maybe it still will be from episode 3x08, but I'm rather skeptical about that now.
So, anyway, that all said, as to the question of whether the dialogue changed any thoughts or theories I already have about Devil's Minion, well -- no.
Because, again, I first saw the video around mid-August. So, pretty much any theory I've written about regarding Devil's Minion since then honestly did take that dialogue from that audition into account.
And I mean, I've always thought -- since episode 1x04 at least and it becoming 99% solid for me after episode 2x02 -- that the relationship and romance between Armand and Daniel happened in the past. I have never really wavered from thinking that. I mean, given the whole "turned out of spite" thing, I did have a moment when I feared the show would f-up and would have put every obvious (to me) clue in for no reason. But, by and large, I was already there about Armand and Daniel having had a past relationship.
And this dialogue pretty much just solidifies that even more, IMO.
So I've basically not really speculated since long before Season 2 ended if their past relationship happened or not. It's been my opinion for a long time now that it did, and I'm just enjoying it whenever there is a new spoiler that confirms even more that it did. 😎
And, when I first watched that video, I have to say I smiled about the fact that Armand, apparently, very much went and found Daniel again, sometime after Daniel got dropped off at the drug den, to kill Daniel out of view and sight of Louis. (And I'm on record as thinking Louis was asleep, underground, at the time, which is when I think Armand first went to go and do so.)
Because Armand's saying that basically sets up a basis for The Chase.
As well as how/why it ended.
The video/dialogue has Armand flat-out saying he tracked Daniel down to "finish the work," i.e., kill him, because he was "interrupted" from doing so. (Clearly referring to when Louis stopped Armand from giving Daniel that "easeful death.")
And that it was because of Armand's own growing fascination with Daniel as he followed him to do so that stopped Armand from finishing "the work."
Which basically answers an ask I got sometime last season about the fact that, in episode 2x05, it was Louis who stopped Armand from killing Daniel, not Armand's own choice not to.
So yeah, if this dialogue exchange does end up in the show? (And, at the moment, I have no reason to think it won't.) Well, that pretty much outright ends any idea that Armand didn't kill Daniel back in 1973 only because Louis stopped Armand from doing so.
Because again, Armand says it -- that he tracked Daniel down after he was interrupted from killing Daniel the first time he tried to, so he could finally do so.
And then, Armand still didn't kill him. And it was strictly only because of Armand's own growing fascination with Daniel that he didn't.
(And personally, I don't think it was just a one-and-done thing, either. I think Armand thought he was going to kill Daniel several times as he kept following him from place to place -- chasing him -- with that intent, but, over and over, Armand couldn't do it. Because that fascination with Daniel just kept growing more and more until it grew into outright love. But I digress.)
But, anyway. As to my main theories -- such as whether I think Armand turned Daniel at the end of Season 2. Well, I already gave my opinion on that a little over a week ago . . . a few weeks after I first saw the video. And no, my opinion on that hasn't changed, even with the more solid proof wrt the recent shoot Assad and Eric did in the park, either.
And yes, hopefully I can and will explain, in more depth, what I mean by what I say about it in the above link, in a few weeks, after I watch the Talamansca show first.
Oh, and my opinion on Alice and Daniel's daughters? Given here, once again, long after I'd already seen the video. But even before that, I did think Alice was real and that Daniel's daughters were real. And that what is going on is that, IMO, some of Daniel's memories about Alice are actually, in truth, about Armand. (Such as the Paris proposal memory.)
Because, as Claudia insightfully said, the best lies have some truth to them.
And my opinion on something being off with Daniel, and it having to do with souls/spirits, is the same, too. That dialogue very much did not change any of my thoughts on that either.
So yeah, I'm pretty much where I've been recently when it comes to these things and my theories about them. No change. 😎
Now, as to whether or not that dialogue gave me any new theories? Well, yes, it did. One, in particular, related to Daniel's daughter. But again, this is something I want to wait on till we, you know, at least have confirmation that such a part has really been cast first. 🙃
