Hi! Love your CC! While running batch fixes for dx11 in S4S I got an error with the accent cabinet from your Kitchen of Tomorrow set! I don't know that anything can be done on your end, but thought I'd let you know just in case! The error is that S4S says, "Unable to fix", and the file name is: SurelySimsKoTSurfaceCabinetsAccent.

Yeah! I've gotten that too! The way I built it it's kinda a pain, so I'll have to go in by hand to update that one. Thank you for letting me know!

The 2023 Simblr Gratitude Awards by STK

Intro

Hello fellow simmers, since today is the first official Simblr Gratitude Day, I wanted to take the opportunity to shoutout some of my favorite simblrs. While it's not possible to mention everyone whose content I enjoy, I do appreciate everyone who shares their creations, thoughts, and kindness here. I'm sure I will forget some wonderful simmers, so know this is not an exhaustive list.

I would be remiss to start without first mentioning 2 very important people who are responsible for the wonderful idea of having a day to spread kindness: @daniigh0ul, who originally had the idea to have a day of kindness on simblr, and @armoricaroyalty for creating Simblr Gratitude Day. I have enjoyed chatting with you both and appreciate you sharing your knowledge with me. For making this holiday season brighter, I will start off by awarding you both with the 🎁 Giving Gratitude Award 🏆

I was once again inspired and created a sim for @daniigh0ul's Bachelorettes Challenge. His name is Andros Georgiou. More info about him under the cut!

Andros (he/him) hails from the beautiful islands off the coast of Tartosa and is 29 years old. He works in Tartosa as a graphic designer in his own studio.

He's bisexual and interested romantically as well as sexually in women and men and he's been in relationships with both women and men.

He is currently single after breaking up with his long-term girlfriend Suzanne, who he's been with for 3 years. They realized they were both at very different points in their lives and mutually agreed to part ways.

He is probably a fan-favourite, as he's funny and at times a bit snarky but never hurtful, plus he can be very romantic and melt almost everyone's heart (especially older ladies love him!)

His two best friends (Niko and Costa) applied in his name for the contest, because they thought he needed to get out of his comfort zone more, meaning he needed to get out of Tartosa and meet some new people. Andros wasn't sure about joining the contest at first, but he's a believer in trying anything once and ready to find love in a different way from what he had imagined.

He is looking for a long-term partner again after having some one-night stands and seeks someone comfortable in their skin and at the point in their life, where they are ready for a serious and committed relationship. This doesn't necessarily mean, that Andros wants to marry or have children as soon as possible, but it is something he's thinking about. Andros wants a partner, to who he can talk about everything and anything and someone who can make him smile.

He loves to cook, so his partner better loves it too.

He loves to party (and is a good party host!), he drinks in moderation, his excessive phase was during university so he can hold his alcohol (his favourite is red wine & a gin tonic), he stress-smokes and hates it, he'd also be open to having sex

While he doesn't have any romantic occult experience yet, he's open to the idea.

⛸️: What’s a moment when your OC managed to skate by on thin ice and barely avoid a bad situation?

This one had me thinking for a while. LMAO and I was gonna answer something else, but as I stood up to go get something I realized: DUH. WHITNEY. She cheated on Darion right after Charlotte was born, and Darion asked her to leave him alone in the aftermath. She easily coulda ignored that and it most likely would have resulted in a messy divorce, charlotte growing up to be a mess herself, and who knows where whit would have ended up. But, she left him be and time healed that particular wound.

🧦: Character you'd most (or least) like to swap places with?

I will now answer for least like lol: anyone with kids! Not for me! Anyone who's been pregnant, SO NOT FOR ME!

❄️ for the oc winter game because i feel like you put a lot of thought into your story and will have an interesting response!!

❄️: What is the most intricate or detailed thing you ever had to do for your story?

I struggled to think of a solid answer for this one and had to ask @nexility-sims for a second opinion. The answer is Chapter 3 as a whole! It has a huge cast (4 main characters, each with their own arcs) and heavily features someone else's characters and setting. I had to plan everything out in advance (which characters I needed, what scenes they'd appear in and what outfits they'd need, what builds I needed, etc.) because I needed n. to dress the sims and build the sets and she was, at the time, also preparing for a lengthy trip during which she wouldn't have access to her Sims computer. There was a hard deadline by which I needed to have the entire thing mapped out in great detail. There were a zillion logistical detail to manage with the entire thing, which cut against the ways I'd worked in the past. I think the single most complex scene are either of the meal scenes in Nakawe Palace (here and here). Also the scene of Julian flirting with Theo is basically my favorite. It's cute and fun.
