As it turned out, most people’s idea of a double date involved, like, going out to dinner or something, and not sitting on the couch of my apartment watching history documentaries.

A surprises B by taking them to a botanical garden for their anniversary, expecting to have an incredible time. When they get there, B begins to act strangely. They talk less and they act more reserved. When A asks what’s wrong, B comes right out and says that they feel bad for not planning something as wonderful as this for A. A assures them that this date is for them both to have fun together. B understands and comes out of their shell, eager to enjoy the rest of their special day with A.
