Happy Dragon Age Day!
Here's Dorian and the Inquisitor meeting up after a few years

Solavellan
- It won't be terrible if you're with me. -
The first illustration was my attempt to practice conceptual art for landscapes and express my inexplicable passion for these two. I intended to capture the moment they teleport to the Fade with Solas's magic, right after the ending of Veilguard.
The art is a mix of digital painting and photobashing, which, btw, I’m finding really fun to make. The Black City silhouette was based on a Gothic cathedral, simply because it’s my favorite architectural style, haha.
I thought about its composition after deciding to make a comic (the WIP below), an idea I’ve had since finishing the game.
A friend of mine said it’s beautiful how Solas and Lavellan look like they’re heading to Disney.
I think if I got to make my own Dragon Age 4 game, I'd actually try to make it have two protagonists? (Like Resident Evil?)
The Main is the Inquisitor, of course.
You start the game with them. Get the "previously on" for new gamers who somehow didn't catch that this is a sequel.
Then you recruit the second protag (Let's call them Rook just for the tags.)
The story is actually mainly the hunt for Solas. And you need new agents, because Solas knows too well how the Inquisitor ticks.
So you get to play Rook out in the field, on recruitment missions, side quest and the basic killing of enemies.
When you are at "home base", you are the Inquisitor... For the wartable missions, so to speak. (Have fun with your camp romances, until I get a better idea.)
Elgar'nan and Gilain'nain get freed only in the last act. Or the second to last. Hell, you can even have your regret prison BS, because I'd make it Rook's fault they get freed. (No killing Varric, tho. Man's in Kirkwall in my game.)
Aaaand I'd make it so that the choice to save or kill Solas plus whether or not the Inky was friends with him matters.
Like... Of course you can play a Rook who is super anti Solas and wants to off him in the end, but if you have an Inky who's bffs with Solas and wants to save him?
Watch your Rook get stabbed in the back by the Inky, because killing Solas isn't what Rook was hired for.
Maybe I'd have an approval system between Rook and the Inquisitor! And if you have low approval at the end, you get no say whatsoever in how the game ends. Or at least a very hard time.
High approval gives you a better chance in persuasion.
I think I'll cook this a bit. Yes.
inquisitor lavellan. the woman who lead us all.
i was listening to would you fall in love with me again which is usually a bad idea because it makes me teary-eyed and i have important shit to do tomorrow. but it’s especially a bad idea tonight because i’ve been playing way too much dragon age lately and i cannot stop thinking about solavellan so i guess i’m going to lay on the floor in misery for a few hours
Yeeeees of course I could get it over with and go save the world or whatever, but I'm too busy looking at Fern
