me trying to convey my love for louis tomlinson on tumblr:
everyone else trying to convey their love of louis tomlinson back:
T has this weird hate for the word 여보/ yeobo which just means “honey” but originally only married couples use that word for each other, which i guess he’s okay with because his brother and wife call each other that and he doesn’t say anything or make any face. however, these days young teenage couples (unmarried) or just young couples, in general, are calling each other that too and it makes him want to die like it makes him cringe haaardd. i asked him why and he basically said that young couples that call each other that are the Korean equivalent of those annoying ass couples in high school that make everyone late for class and cringe with how extra and greasy they are, you know the ones I’m talking about?? yeah, those.
I just find his reaction funny, oh and we don’t call each other that because it makes him feel old haha he also kinda judges one of his best friends that does use that word with his girlfriend but they are planning on getting married so whatever haha.
ohh fun fact, married couples with kids also call each other “oldest kid’s name + dad/mom) so for example T’s mom sometimes when calling to his dad she says “ deokkie appa” = deokkie’s dad (deok is the first syllable of my brother in laws name) and i find it funny because its always the oldest kid’s name as if they didn’t have more children, haha so i make fun of T all the time for that “they’re only his parents not yourssss” and he can’t say anything back because I’m the oldest too so he just makes faces at me. BTW i know its a common cultural thing but i still find it entertaining making fun of my husband for it.
