You have zero tenderness.
Day. Will you be my boyfriend? We both crossed the line. Do you still need to ask? Fine, I'll be your boyfriend.
Last Twilight, Ep 7
Sometimes, I watch a scene, and it leaves me with a pit in my stomach and an ache in my heart. There is something about two people finding solice in each other when both of them have felt so alone for such a long time. The way he kissed Day the second time means so much because Day went for the second kiss with August, and August walked away. He showed Day that someone wanted him, actually wanted him. And that there was nothing in the world that he wanted more than Day in that moment. Mhok has never pittied Day, and that sure as hell wasn't a pitty kiss. Also, as someone who has had people do something very similar to what August did, honestly, f*** August.
The fact that while being in a relationship, Mhok NEVER ONCE opened up to Day about his fear, or his nightmares. The montage across the hotel when Mhok is looking for Day was painful to watch, but did Mhok ever mention that to Day ? Did Mhok even mention his nightmare to Day? For obvious reasons, Day can't see the expressions Mhok had, but that doesn't mean he doesn't deserve to know. In the long run, Mhok would have consumed his guilt and trauma and created a facade for Day that he is happy, and that deception would be even worse than lying about a job offer.
I do agree that the one time Mhok brought up his trauma, it was ignored. But the whole conversation was focused on taking care of Day, and Mhok's trauma was just mentioned as a part of that sentence. How would Day know about Mhok and his past, and the after-effects if he has only seen Mhok as a strong person, who he even idolises to a certain level. The limited number of times we see Mhok actually talk about Rung are also the times when he is consoling Day, and there is no negetive feeling which can be derived form those moments. The little talk by the fence in Ep7 is also done in such a warm tone that it somehow feels like Mhok has accepted the grief and moved on from it.
The polarized opinions on Day's actions probably come from the fact that us as audience have seen everything what Mhok has been through, but Day has never seen any of it, and neither has Mhok himself acknowledged it before Ep11.
Day asking Mhok if he is embarrassed by being seen with him and Mhok just standing right next to him with the biggest smile and whipped aura ever. the man is so in love it's almost unbearable to see
I think what kills me the most is if Day could see the way Mork looks at him he’d know how madly in love this man is with him. Jimmy’s eyes!!! GAHHH!!!
And his eyes when August walks in
