More lore for the DC AU that spontaneously came into existence fully formed in my brain. This time, super hero teams. The first super team was the justice society of America, formed by and answering to the United States government. There were many heroes that filled the ranks of this legendary team, the most important to the story being Jay Garrick Flash, Alan Scott Green Lantern, Dinah Drake Black Canary, Hippolyta Wonder Woman, the hawks (Hawkman and Hawkwoman) and Kent Nelson Dr. Fate. They eventually went on to retire after a solid decade of superheroism, and new heroes rose to fill their boots.

I have an entire DC comics AU in my brain that sort of just… happened? Like I never made a choice to come up with ideas for it, really, the ideas just come to me when I’m bored. I’ve got 4 generations of superheroes living in my head rent free.

The Flash II/Barry Allen. After the retirement of the JSA, Barry was one of several kids inspired by their heroism to take up a heroic mantle, naming himself after his hero, The Flash. For about a year, the name was the only thing he took from his predecessor, not wanting to “steal” the role of The Flash. However, eventually the two flashes met, and the mantle was officially passed to Barry, inspiring him to take more cues from the costume of his predecessor (who he now knew as mister Jay Garrick). It was during this meeting that it was discovered that Barry was in fact even faster then his predecessor.
