omg okay so my dad is the one who named me when i was born. he has always adored my deadname and always wanted a daughter with that name. and i kinda ended up trying to be the perfect daughter for him for a really long time bc i thought that was the only way he would love me. 

but omg y’all. he just called me asher with zero hesitation and it was just a regular convo about him struggling with technology and him updating me on his progress so like. idk i just. i fucking feel so happy rn???? i honestly thought he was gonna have the hardest time with the name change but he isn’t and i’m gonna cry okay cool thanks

and ive been having circle thoughts about it

ive convinced myself that everyone misgenders me when im not there/in their heads/dont see me as how i identify
