deanmara is literally great hello??? eldritch horror wants to fuck you and by fuck she means absorb you literally eat you and digest you. you don't want it, (but it would be so easy), but you don't want it, (just like falling asleep), and she comes to you and tells you, oh so gently, 'I know that you're a warrior and your instinct is to resist. but I can't be resisted' before kissing you and you kiss her back and she doesn't even know that she's hurting you(!!!), that she's doing violence to you because it isn't shaped like violence. she's just this patient oblivion quietly pulling you under. and she's played by Emily Swallow.

Summary: In a AU where Chuck gave Amara fame, fortune and Dean to stave off her destroying the world we see the dynamics and undertones of their relationship when a scheming pool boy tries to interject himself. A smutty encounter ensues but what seems like a simple punishment in Dean/Amara's dynamics gives us glimpse into their history and desires for the future.

Snippet: “Amara!” Dean steps forward, anger rippling off him like a wave. Amara turns to face her husband and points a finger, her index finger, in one swift movement down. He stops in his tracks, he looks angry, but he stops and looks down.

Amara puts a hand on Neil’s chest, “So?”

“Yeah, yeah I do.” He looks at the husband nervously, he's heard rumors that Dean is miserable, even that he is a beard, but he didn’t know he was a cuckold. Who cares? He is going to fuck the world’s most famous woman, let her husband watch. This is better than he expected!

“I’m going to call you Pool Boy because everyone has a fantasy with one of those and we don’t actually have a place with a pool. So you will be doing double duty."

"You can call me whatever you want." He replies with his tongue wetting his upper lip and a wink.

"Quick learner." She taps her champagne flute. "What if I say that you can fuck me, but first you have to fuck him.”

“Excuse me?” his voice squeaks, he looks nervously from her to her husband who is standing perfectly still, yet looks coiled and ready to spring into a fight in a second. He remembers most of the TV Shows Dean used to do were of the action, spy variety, for his own sake he hopes they used stunt guys or he is in for a world of hurt.

Is it bad that I actually preferred being a SPN fan during the hiatus? Current episodes are just not doing it for me

So far we’ve had a cute and fun filler, which was fine except for the random throwaway ‘Cas is somewhere doing something that we don’t know about and won’t be told about’ crap. 

Last episode had so much of a mid-season vibe to it - not something we need to watch in the countdown to the very last ever episode. Also I really hate the fact that they made Jack have a death-deal too. It cheapens Cas’s sacrifice for him, if he’s just going to die anyway and it entirely shifts focus on Cas’s empty deal onto Jack. It halves the emotional strain of the Empty storyline by making Jack just asvulnerable when it would’ve been so much more satisfying for them to acknowledge that yes, Cas might be in this great God-killing prophecy but he matters and his oncoming death matters too. He’s been on the show for 11 years now, he deserves more than to share his character death with a character who has only be around for a few recent seasons. Plus, the fact that he’s now going ‘somewhere to do something that doesn’t make any sense’ means he won’t be in next week’s filler episode but instead we get Dean and Sam doing something with a blonde woman in a hotel room. 

Cas does not need to leave to find an alternative solution to saving Jack. Literally all of the resources he could need are in the bunker - Sam, Jack, Dean, computers, giant library, spell ingredients and the power to summon any creature with information they might need. Where would he even go? He’s leaving for bullshit reasons so they don’t have to pay Misha as much money, and to firmly push Cas off the game board until ep 18. 

I’ve seen a couple of people share the same views on this, and don’t get me wrong - I love Jack. But I just can’t help but feel Cas has been massively sidelined to develop Jack’s character further when it doesn’t really need it. The show has some serious ground to cover if it actually wants to reach a solid ending, and with only 5 episodes left I just don’t have hope that they’re going to do it. 

Also the Deanmara scene sucked. No one is interested in their uncomfortable, barely even consensual relationship stuff. She literally even told Dean that she’s not a woman, she’s a giant cosmic deity - don’t push this weird romantic dynamic on them that absolutely no one enjoys.
