ok so i need people's opinions
do you think that prosenna being a thing in the 80s/90s and not in the 2000s, 2010s or 2020s is a good thing, and thay it's also a a key in their rivalry?
Because i mean since the 80s/90s not only has the world charged a lot but also Formula 1, as in safety, as in regulations, penalties, cars, even the steering wheel and all the new buttons. So something as intense, on a physical and mental level, as prosenna wouldn't be a thing in the 2020s F1. But now with new modern technology, hundreds of ways to communicate with people around the world, better video and photo quality of course, social media... I mean, imagine the conversations in the last 6 months of Ayrton's life being on Instagram calls or TikTok messages 😭 I think the whole vintage vibe and the fact that it has happened in some of the prime years of F1, that adds a lot to it and to the 'Senna myth'.
But also, something else is that now drivers have no privacy, if Ayrton thought before it was worse, he couldn't have survived today's media. I mean, i see all the drivers on vacations and so many caught off guard photos of Charles and his gf on some yacht or even Lando and his gf, so basically every driver's move gets documented and everything is out online. And that, not happening in the 93'/94' i think it's a good thing, because it adds kinda mystery vibes to prosenna and i think that if everything was able to be found online back then, then the rumors about what Ayrton told Alain would've been just crazy.
But also, maybe if there was as much media as now, there would've been pictures of them talking in Imola. But that's maybe the only positive thing that COULD'VE been...
yeah I'm starting to think I'm talking to myself and losing it but yeah, I'm open to hearing y'all's opinions and stuff
