While watching today's Seattle Mariners vs Kansas City Royals game, Dee Gordon connects for his first homer of the year. In doing so, the Mariners become the first team to homer at least once in each of their first 15 games to start the season. Jay Bruce and Edwin Encarnación aside, whoda thunk that after trading Canó and letting Nelson Cruz go via free agency that the Mariners would be bopping like they have⁣

⁣On a side note, I never knew that Dee Gordon is the son of 21-year MLB pitcher Tom "Flash" Gordon. The telecast showed an interest stat on where Flash stands with pitchers to have 130+ wins and 130+ saves. ⁣

⁣While I'm not familiar with who Lindy McDaniel is, the other three names are very familiar: Hall of Famers John Smoltz, Dennis Eckersley and Hoyt Wilhelm. ⁣
