ABANDONED degasi base???? looks preddy fine to me!

#yellow rambles #subnautica #degasi #playong with my touys (subnautica runtime editor) :)#basically just deactivating all the dirt and debris and drooping stingers etc.#unfortunately doesnt work for the dirt/rust on exteriors/windows/observatories/bulkheads/etc. since thats all based on texture #so trying to deactivate it just deactivates the whole building lol.#and like. you definitely can Tell when you look closely at these pictures‚ but i still think these turned out well all things considered.#oh and for the observatories i just deactivated the glass altogether lol. and for the planterbox observatory i also hid the entire aurora #hardest one was dgr base just because of the lab‚ it has shit scattered on the ground so i wanted to move it to make it look nicer #but it was kinda a pain in the ass to do ESPECIALLY the cuddlefish egg dear god. that thing would NOT stop trying to roll off the counter.#ended up having to just open up the inspector and zeroing out anything that looked even remotely like momentum or movement lol.#oh yeah the lighting. lighting in the floating island base was done via flashlight and just hitting f6 to hide the ui #and the lighting in the other bases was done via a bunch of hidden lightsticks placed behind walls and stuff.#i think it makes it look nice :)#but also makes the lighting a little inconsistent due to having more or less places to put lightsticks :P

The Degasi story makes me laugh and cry cause first off, Bart's last message. "We went too deep, they do not want us here." Was super creepy and definitely gave me chills my first playthrough. But then once I'm done with the game, I'm like... too deep? Boi, you literally stopped at the Grand Reef. All you had to deal with were crabsquids and warpers.

But then it makes me want to cry cause they were so close! The Lost River entrance is literally right behind their base! All they had to do was look a little closer at the caves behind them! And they would've found an entirely new biome! A little bit of exploring in there and you find all the bones and alien shit everywhere! Giant clues that there is more down here! They were so close to discovering the cure! Ahhhhhh

why the fuck is the fern palm the rarest regrowable item in subnautica. theres only ONE fern palm on the ENTIRE MAP and it's in Bart's garden in the second mountain base on the floating island. is it not native or did the degasi crew wipe out the entire fern palm population except for that one that Bart was growing. how badly did paul and marguerit need their damn coffee

I haven’t drawn the degasi in like a year or two, they’re so disfunctional family coded. The art is kinda bad, I’m not very good at drawing 3/4 face angles, I still have to practice. And I did get a bit lazy in the second frame but oh well. Brain rot it is.
