Do you ever feel bed for fitting into stereotypes?

People are always like ‘enbys are always white afabs who like mother mother’ etc etc.

I’m sorry that I’m white.

I’m sorry that I’m afab.

I’m sorry about the way I dress and the music I listen to.

I don’t want to play into stereotypes but I do. But it’s massively in ways that I couldn’t possibly change even if I wanted to.

So yes, fight against stereotypes. Especially stereotypes that are harmful. Or stereotypes that make binary categories for things like being non binary. But don’t make the people who do fit those stereotypes feel guilty.

And even posts that aren’t directly being negative about people like me make me feel bad. I don’t want to play into a stereotype and thereby harm others. So please don’t make it worse by ridiculing those who are white afab enbies that like certain things and have certain names.

Don’t make people feel guilty for their skin colour, their sex, their interests, their name...

Don’t make people feel guilty for fitting a stereotype.
