"Forgive me father for I have sinned."
A voice, sultry and sweet and heavy with intent and promises purred behind him. It was the same voice that had started all this years ago, and Sebastian would know it anywhere.
When he turned, a young man stood in the doorway, outlined by the dark gray sky. Gusts of wind from the incoming storm whipped around his hair and clothes. As he made his way down the church's aisle, his face was illuminated by the dim candle light. From young, porcelain skin to black, feathery hair, nothing had changed about him in the 30 years that had passed since he last saw him.
"I'm not a priest anymore." Sebastian replied, eyes boring into the man before him. The man who destroyed his life and dragged him into this hell before vanishing, as if he was never there. "But you know that, don't you? You ensured it, Ciel."
The man smirked at the name. "Close. But not quite."
"I found the portraits, the paintings. Your grave. I know who you are now, Phantomhive."
"That's more accurate." Ciel responded. With the same grace he possessed 30 years ago, Ciel grabbed one of Sebastian's wrists with his slender fingers and twisted so Sebastian's arm was pinned behind his back and they were chest to chest.
"What's a little raising Cain going to do if you're already damned?" Ciel taunted.
"You compare yourself to Cain?"
Sebastian tried to nip the blossoming sense of familiarity at the bud. This wasn't the first time they ended up like this. In fact, it was almost favored by Ciel, who enjoyed in mind games, reveling in the tattered the player was left in afterwards. This time, a smile flickered across Ciel's lips, his eyes flashed red, and he answered, "No. I'm more of an Abel myself."
