Denny stared at me as I stood in his doorway. An eyeliner pencil was halfway to his face as he sat frozen in front of the mirror, a washcloth tossed onto the desk next to him marked black with his previous attempts. I took a step into the room before closing the door and locking it.

"Uh hi..." He said as I walked over and closed his curtains. I turned towards him and crossed my arms. "Can I help you?"

"Your secret is finally revealed." I teased as I stepped closer. "You wear eyeliner." Denny nodded slowly. "That explains a lot honestly."

"Shut up." Denny muttered with a laugh. "I stole this from my mom. She's at the store so if I don't hurry up, I'm going to get caught."

"Do you wear that for like days at a time?" I asked as I stood over his shoulder. Denny nodded. "You know it's like ten cents right?"

"And a lecture from the drug store guy about how a teenage boy like me should not be buying his mother make up." Denny huffed. He tossed the pencil down in frustration. "I can't get it right today. Dammit." I picked it up and turned him towards me.

"Let me." I said as I cupped his chin to tilt his head up. Denny went wide eyed as I gently swept the pencil across his lids. "There."

"How the fuck..." He muttered as he turned to look at himself in the mirror. "Thanks but what the fuck." I shrugged as I handed him the pencil.

"Practice makes perfect babe." I teased as I went to lay down on his bed. Denny shook his head with a laugh.

"I swear. You're just full of surprises." He murmured before coming over to kiss me. "I'll be right back." I nodded as I watched him rush out of the room.

Headcanon that Todd and Jeffrey's relationship is like Gordie and his older brother Denny's in stand by me

I find it kinda funny that in “Stand by me” Gordie is DESTROYED by the death of his older brother Denny, while in the book he really doesn’t care that much. “He was just a guy” THAT IS WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT YOUR DEAD BROTHER?!?!? I get the all the age difference thing but still he really didn’t gaf.

Movie Gordie was pulling out the Bill Dembrough’s act while in the book he couldn’t care less.

I cannot accept that Book Gordie and Movie Gordie are the same characters. RIP Denny I still love you even if your brother doesn’t care that much…
