If We Could Teach Earth Slang to Cosmere Characters...

This is directly inspired by @awesomepossumredux's post (here), in which they expressed their desire to teach Adolin "slay" and "fierce" as slang words. Not only is that pure truth, but it made me wonder what other slang should be introduced to various Cosmere characters' vocabularies...

1. Sadeas: Alpha / Beta Male, Snowflake / Woke

Just think about how more obnoxious he would be if Sadeas knew these terms.

Sadeas: Ugh, stop being such a beta, Dalinar. ... Sadeas: Ooooh, are you upset that I betrayed your father, Adolin? You're such a snowflake. Part of the woke mob! ... Sadeas: Alpha males wear orange.

2. Denth: Bromance

I just think he would use innocuous, cutesy slang for evil.

Denth: Now, me and Tonk Fah, we may be mercenaries, but that doesn't mean we know nothing of romance. Denth: Or bromance, as the case may be. Vivenna: What is...bromance? Denth: Don't worry about it.

3. Nightblood: 80s slang

I think that, once introduced, Nightblood would never stop using 80s slang.

Nightblood: We gotta kill that guy! He's bogus! Vasher: ... Nightblood: Come onnnn! Slaying evil is totally groovy! Vasher: ... Vasher: Please stop. Nightblood: Whoa! Take a chill pill! Vasher: ...Awakening steel was definitely a mistake.

4. Kaladin: YOLO

It would just give all of his dramatic entrances a little extra something-something.

5. Anyone on Komashi: High Key / Low Key

I mean, they already have (highly) and (lowly) as tone indicators. I think they'd love this.

His favorite slang term both before and after getting his arm back.

I'm not sure why my brain is so convinced that Siri needs to use 90s slang, but I feel it deep in my soul.

9. Wayne: Gaydar

He maybe needs it.

I’m in the process of reading warbreaker and I’ve been really liking Denth and Tonk Fah (until they y’know, broke my heart) but I was struggling to picture how they looked in my head so decided to draw them. Im not entirely sure why I chose a padded chestplate but I think it works well.

Either way I might do more warbreaker art soon bc I’m really enjoying it.

i don't know where this came from but there was some discussion somewhere about Warbreaker being adapted into a musical and people were talking about what kind of songs we'd have and one of them was Denth and Tonk Fah having a song called "Mercenary Humor" that would be like an upbeat intro to the two about would have an evil reprise during the reveal and though i lake any talent for music my brain still tries to idk honestly just keeps going

"It's just some mercenary humor, just a little joke, we play to the stigma..." and then it trails off

Susebron has a priest that's always acompanying him who's called Treledees. But later in the book Nightbloos mentions that Denth's previous name was Vala Treledees? Why do they share the same name? Are they related?
