Genshin Impact | Genius Invokation TCG Arcane Legend Card: Lost Legacies in the Sand
In a world where gods and dead gods are very real so much is probably explained by that
Rough waves? Osial broke one of the spears holding him down and he’s trashing about
Suddenly tornado? Decarabian conjured it up to destroy mondstadt
Volcano eruption? The spirit of xbalanque and the pyro dragon must have been fighting
Suddenly plant death? Deshret must have breathed his divine knowledge infected breath on it
Echos? Remus is singing back to you
The lunar phases? Columbina slowly is peaking out to check on her people and then leaving
Lighting strikes a random tree? Ei must have decided that the tree was violating enerity
Frost on your window? The Tsaritsa must have been peeking in
Dew on the grass? Nabu malikata must have been crying
Wind blows leaves in your hair? Barbatos is trying to give you a gift
oh my ancient doomed kings and their association with dreams................. their grand dreams that doomed them/their civs/both.............
Not my usual take on the subject, but I drew a thing.
My excuse is off-brand allergy medication and a random desire to draw angsty Genshin
What if Dottore's attempt to burn Irminsul is an experiment in blasphemy by not only burning the sacred tree, but also making it so that the entirety of Teyvat believes Irminsul was always burning?
In other words, he finds a way to burn Irminsul not only in the present, but also in the past and future (maybe Arlecchino's flames and a bit of Istaroth's powers?) while also altering everyone's memories so no one will be compelled to help, since they'll believe there isn't an actual problem there.
Well, aside from the Traveler, Alice and maybe Skirk. Which means we'd have to spend half an Archon Quest attempting to convince people that maybe, just maybe, the tree that holds tge world's memories shouldn't be constantly burning away....
All of this is just an excuse for Corrupted by Forbidden Knowledge Deshret to invent time travel for the sole reason of beating up Dottore. Istaroth offered to help but it just ended up fueling his spite.
Bonus:
Deshet: Thank you for coming in such short notice. Now let's brainstorm ways to deal with this plague!
Rukkhadevata, wincing: Sure thing!
Deshret: It's truly been so long since we last saw each other that the desert's climate is no longer agreeable to you? Let's make sure to schedule more meet-ups once this is over!
Rukkhadevata: Apologies, the desert heat just adds to the inferno that is Irminsul...
Deshret: ...Why would Irminsul be an inferno?
Random servant: Because it is constantly burning? It's a way to recycle memories and nourish the future, Irminsul has always been like that.
Deshret, already frantically flipping through hundreds of different books: IRMINSUL SHOULD NOT DO THAT IT KEEPS THE MEMORIES NOT BURNS THEM
Istaroth, stopping time to talk to him: You're right! Would you like to find out more?
Deshret: I don't negotiate with Celestia.
Istaroth: There's a literal mad scientist a few millenia in the future making sure that Irminsul is burning at every single moment in time and actively torturing your friend.
Deshret: ....
Deshret: Give me the exact date and time. I'll handle the rest
