i know everyone always talks about how 2021 was the best time to be on spnblr (which i believe but i wasn't here for it so i can't speak to that) but i think that april - june 2022 was actually such a fucking fun time on spnblr too. i mean it started with bishagate ofc and who can forget deangirl dean posting of may 2022. but there was also stuff that's been a little more forgotten (or at least we've forgotten they all happened in the span of 3 months) like dean daily and dean winchester's journal. 30k cas post....30k dean post....….rwylm was posting (and we were all bonding over how much we fucking hated noah every thursday after reading the new chapter)...spirit of the west was posting....soldier boy showing jass on the boys s3....reddit bros discovered jensen ackles....the winchesters first trailer dropped and we saw new dean content for the first time since the loathsome finale. also no one else will care about this one but....i officially changed my blog name to bloodydeanwinchester. AND i posted my first awful gif. what an insanely fun few months that was truly. it was like a burst of straight dopamine to my brain almost daily. i need it back so bad.

So this just popped in my head…

Dean keeps flirting with Cas but doesn’t understand why his usual lines don’t work, so he gets frustrated and just kisses Cas, only to be pushed away and rejected.

But Dean doesn’t know the deal Cas made, so any bit of happiness Cas may feel terrifies him because The Empty may come for him. So he’d rather risk Dean thinking he doesn’t want anything more than friendship than to be taken away from him forever.

So they spend awkward moments avoiding each other and Sam, as usual, is confused and clueless.

Castiel swore to protect Jack at all costs. If that means taking him away from the dark dungeon of the bunker and away from the harsh words and hands of Dean Winchester, then so be it. But strange things start to happen in the home they’ve made. Neighbors complain of shadows in the night. Monsters appear that don’t belong. Coincidences line up. Wherever peace and happiness try to grow, there are adversaries who would snuff it out. The love holding their family together just might be the last weapon they have against the evils of the world.
