Updates for anyone who gives a shit:

-cut out the preliminary foam pieces for crocodiles hook (I have better foam but these will either be for testing or as the base)

-ordered foam for the hook part

-ordered missing accessories from SHEIN ex. Lighter clothing for croc and doffy cause I’m not wearing 16 layers in the middle of summer

-applied for a job Friday and now I gotta take an assessment!

So I see this argument all over tiktok and I just gotta say something.

There’s multiple trends going around talking about other cultures and their food or customs etc, some criticisms are in good fun and some are straight rude and everything inbetween.

Tiktok always says “don’t yuck someone else’s yum” and “it’s their culture, why is xyz bad when you guys do abc? Hush and educate yourself” etc.

What I’m not getting is why are we quick to immediately defend whatever culture is the main subject and not allow any type of criticism or differentiating ideas especially if it could be helpful or necessary?

I understand I could be talking out of my ass here, I’m white. I’m American. I get that. But why cant people just not like certain food? Or societal rules? Gender roles? Religious customs? Why can’t people point out issues or anything without being deemed self-centered or racist or any other negative descriptor?

Now I’m not saying everyone should go around shitting on entire cultures and demographics, that’s horrible and idiotic. But why can’t parallel concerns or issues be brought up that are shown as looked down upon in one culture for good reason but not in another all in the name of tradition?

Jesus fuckin Christ I swear people do not have brains anymore. I knew this app was shit before and it’s still kinda shit now but I thought at least some of the nonsense wouldn’t be as big of an issue as it is but here we are

I swear people cannot process or think logically anymore, something always has to have a deeper meaning or whatever. Like no believe it or not some things are exactly as they seem, certain things do matter and the way they are used and portrayed matter. You don’t get to decide to change that only cause you feel like it.

Ugh the self inflated egos of people is nothing but a nuisance. I understand being confident, that’s completely fine and healthy to feel, but I promise, like I pinky promise, you are not as high and mighty and important as you believe you are. We are a few small people in a world with billions of others, do you think you are so much better and know so much more and are much more relevant than everyone else? Shut the fuck up for two seconds and realize not every opinion is going to align with yours and take your ideology with a grain of salt.
