Modern superstitions and folk magic:
Dice. Oh my goodness the dice. Most ttrpg players I know absolutely have at least some dice related superstition. I do not put myself outside this category.
If a die is rolling low, you must swap it for a “better” die.
To use the same die you rolled a Nat 1 on in a critical moment is unlucky.
Dice can be charged by moonlight and blessed to ward off bad luck.
When starting a new game session, roll your collection of d20s to see which are rolling highest to pick.
If your pre-game dice rolls are bad, you are rolling the ones out.
If another player has had bad rolls recently, it is unlucky to borrow their dice.
Wil Wheaton is cursed.
What are other dice beliefs?
