――Have you looked at how to play Russia?

Yes. First of all, I researched the anime 『Hetalia』 and looked up their voice actors in twitter, I followed some accounts to collect information.

――Eh? Is Russia information centre the KGB?

I don't really understand that lol. I thought I will take up some Russian stuffs from the Russians. After that, I went to eat some Russian food.

――Is that so you can take up the role? Like borschtz and piroshiki? About that, when I ordered "please give me Russian food", they gave me chicken karaage (fried chicken). In Russia they also eat chicken karaage, was what I thought, I asked then, "what is the name of this dish?" and they answered with "it's chicken karaage (in Japanese)"...... Apparently the place was just serving Japanese food (bitter smile). I'm thinking to go to another place that's more Russian-like next time. Also, Russia loves vodka, I want to drink it too lol.

――Can you drink alcohol?

I can drink pretty well, if I may say so myself. During break it was nice to grab a ginger ale!

――Your progress to get to know the character went pretty smooth. Have you look at the original work?

I watched the anime. Russia doesn't appear much in the recent episodes, but I'm thinking how to bring him in. I want to understand all of the world's point of view, so I also watched episodes where Russia doesn't even appear.

――How do you think Russia's personality is like?

He is not a character that jokes a lot. He seems so kind, but he possesses a darkness that is like a poison. I think I'm a bit like that too lol, I'm thinking of making a self-analysis for this.

――Since it's a musical, you will have to portray the character while moving a lot, what would you do if they ask you to perform the Cossack dance?

I think it will be tough, but I kind of want to do it. If nothing is being said, I will suggest it! Like once I first appear, I'll do Cossack or when the curtain falls during the curtain call, I'll do my best to do it! lol

――That's amazing! I look forward to it! Do you have anything that worries you?

Since the costume is quite thick and layered, also there's a muffler, I'm worried about the heat because I will be sweating. But Russia is constantly seeking warmth, I will do my best to become cold!
