i always hear a lot of people saying they wish they were born in a different time, or that they had been twenty in a different decade, etc. i used to think like this, at least maybe a little, but truthfully living in this time is pretty magnificent. i get to experience not only the bands i love right now, but all the ones that preceeded them. i can wear a 60s dress with that new cardigan i got at h&m. i can watch films, see paintings, travel to old buildings, drink aged scotch, hear bells toll, all from another era. 

in this way, for me at least, living now is sort of like living in all of those decades.
