I don't usually comment about difficult people I deal with on Etsy - mainly because there's so few! - but I have to say that a person I conversed with recently really left me shocked.
The person asked me if I 'would accept 20 for all' on the Sherlock episodes listing. I was kind of confused as there are 6 different sizes which are different prices so I wasn't quite sure what they meant.
I explained that I do do a multi-pack of all 9 prints together (again with a sliding scale of prices) but that based on what they'd asked it would be more expensive than they were hoping and that I was sorry about that.
The person responded that there was no way they could afford that. Again I apologised but I said I couldn't do 9 prints for £20 (about $34) - I sell the smallest size of individual print at £5 (about $8) and the smallest pack is £35 / $59 (+P&P).
The person then responded that actually they meant $20 (which is about £11) and that I would not be getting their business.
Now I know that currency conversion means that my items are perhaps a bit pricier for people overseas but the stores are now my livelihood and I don't think it's fair to make such a dramatic exception to my pricing structure for one person - especially one that came across as so rude.
Would you say that's fair?
