Speaking OF weed, DID YOU KNOW Aaliyah was a smoker and could hold her own? There’s no confirmed public record or interview where Aaliyah herself admits to smoking weed. However, American Rapper, Jim Jones, recalls a time Aaliyah caught him off guard:
"{Dame} had one of the first edits of the 'Paid in Full' movie, and me and Cam[ron] went over there to watch it. Him and Aaliyah were there. I had maybe a half an ounce of weed, and [Aaliyah] kept tellin' me, 'Roll up, n***a, you smokin' that or what?'" Jim then shares that him and Aaliyah smoked nearly the entire half.
When Jim's comment first came out, many Aaliyah fans BOO'ed Jones saying he was lying on Aaliyah's name. Because, well, it was said (while Aaliyah was alive and even immediately after her death) that she had never 'smoked or drank'.

However, Damon Dash as well as Aaliyah's former hairstylist, Tre' Major, confirmed (Aaliyah smoking weed) as true (almost 2 decades after her passing).
Perhaps Aaliyah only showed that part of her to people she trusted and was comfortable with. *shrugs* What do you think?
