Bucky has CPTSD not just PTSD. Yes there is a difference.
CPTSD (complex PTSD) is caused from long term, chronic trauma while PTSD is usually caused from a single event. Along with core PTSD symptoms, people who have CPTSD tend to have difficulty with emotional regulation, a negative self-view, and also have trouble maintaining relationships. CPTSD can also cause memory issues. Currently in the US though, CPTSD is not recognized and is instead labeled as just PTSD.
Bucky is shown to have issues with maintaining relationships with others, like during TFATWS when he wasn't responding to Sam's texts. Bucky also has a negative self-view, something that does get addressed in the series but still clearly affects him. I don't find it hard to believe Bucky would also struggle with emotional regulation.
I know this isn't that big of a deal, but I just think it's fun to talk about bucky's disabilities especially since there is a lack of it. Of course just saying bucky has PTSD isn't wrong, and you don't have to say cptsd (especially since it's not recognized in the US) but I thought this would be a fun post to make as somebody who has CPTSD but has to use a PTSD diagnosis :')
