For the prompt list, how about 56 for KhaiThird or TinCan whichever you think would work better :3
Okay. Well let’s try this again. Cause Tumblr decided to fuck everything up. Anyway. You get both. So here you go! [Prompt Post]
Tin was quiet. Not that he was ever loud except when he was really mad and yelling - but even that had almost an odd calm to it. Or maybe it just seemed that way because he always looked so put together. However! That did not change the fact that Can noticed when Tin grew extra quiet. He barely so much as looked at Pete when Pete started talking to him about one of their classes, asking about his notes and if he’d taken them thoroughly enough because Pete wasn’t sure his notes were good enough for their upcoming quiz. Tin grabbed his notes out of his backpack and handed them to Pete, who thanked him with an enthusiastic hug before flipping through the notes as he leaned against Ae’s side. “I’ll give them back tomorrow, Ai’Tin,” Pete promised him.
Tin hummed and nodded, but didn’t say anything. Pete then started talking with Ae about how he was going to have to focus to get the notes copied, but they could get dinner and bring it to the apartment and study together after classes. Can crossed his arms on top of the table and watched Tin, who eventually looked up at him. He raised his brows silently in question and Can heaved a great sigh as he got up from his spot. He then went around the table to where Tin had been sitting across from him and he grabbed Tin’s wrist. With a big pull, he tugged Tin away from the table, making Tin scramble to grab his bag as he followed Can’s lead. “We’ll see you later!” Can said to Pete and Ae with a wave of his free hand before marching off with Tin following suit. Once they reached an area that was almost private (there were less students around anyway), Can dropped down onto a bench along the walkway and tugged Tin into the spot next to him. “Tell me what’s wrong.”
Tin seemed taken aback by the demand - not fully sure if he was more surprised at the fact that Can had come up with the conclusion that something was wrong or that Can noticed enough to try to figure it out. “Who says anything is wrong?” Tin countered. Can just gave him a look that Tin was pretty sure he had learned from that older friend of his, the one who had been on the football team with Can in their first year - the angry one who got all soft when his boyfriend came around. Tin was sure that it was supposed to be intimidating. Maybe someone else would have found it to be. Tin just thought it was cute. He reached up and pinched Can’s cheek, smirking when it made Can grumble and knock away his hand. “Nothing is wrong. I’m just tired. I was up studying too late last night.”
Can eyed Tin as he rubbed his face where Tin had pinched his cheek. Tin wasn’t sure if the look was one of doubt or calculating. After a moment, Can dropped his hand and then stood up. He once again grabbed Tin’s wrist and started to drag him toward the parking lot. Tin knew that if he really wanted to, he could plant his feet firmly and make Can stumble to a stop, but he walked with him anyway. “Where are we going?” Tin asked.
“Home.” Can nodded his head once, as if he was leaving absolutely no room for argument. “You’re going to not do homework or study or anything like that. And don’t even think about turning that into some sort of pickup line-” Can stopped and turned to face Tin, pointing at him with his free hand. Tin just smirked at him in response. Can rolled his eyes and turned to resume dragging Tin to his car. So maybe Can had not exactly been right about there being something wrong - he wasn’t exactly wrong, either. And, okay, maybe he was using it as an excuse to get out of his lab later that day but nobody had to know that. It wasn’t like he would hate spending the day relaxing with his boyfriend and avoiding responsibilities for a little while.
“Tell me what’s wrong,” Third insisted as he nudged Khai with his elbow. They were still at the office and it was late, far too late. They were supposed to have been home hours ago. Yet there they were, still at the office and Khai had practically been pouting the entire time. Third had noticed it right away, though Khai had attempted to keep his expression neutral, there was something in his face that was far too easy for Third to read. Khai shook his head in response and Third rolled his eyes. He reached up to swat at the back of Khai’s head, successfully actually making Khai pout as he rubbed the spot. “Something’s wrong. Tell me.”
“Nothing,” replied Khai with a small smile. “Let’s just focus on getting this wrapped up so that we can go home.”
Third looked as though he was going to argue - because of course he was - but after a pause, he just nodded and focused back on their work so they could finish up. It was slow going, and if it was not for the fact that their deadline was early the following morning, they would have gone home already. Two and Bone were still there as well, though they’d sent everybody else home. It was all down to things that only the four of them could really work on, anyway. None of them had taken a break outside the few minutes they had all lost track of Khai once it became clear they wouldn’t be leaving anytime soon. Not long after, food was delivered for them to have something to eat as they worked, which had explained where Khai had gone off to.
By the time they finally finished and had triple checked that everything had been saved correctly so that they could submit it in the morning, it was nearing the end of the day. It would likely be the early morning hours by the time they got to their respective apartments. Khai and Third made it to Third’s car in the parking lot before Third stopped Khai. “Are you going to tell me what has had you pouting all night, now?” he asked.
“I was not pouting,” insisted Khai with a huff. “I was… lamenting. I’m too manly to pout.” The look that Third gave him was judging and proved that he thought Khai was being ridiculous. It made Khai smile cheesily at him while reaching up to pinch Third’s cheek. “Don’t worry about it. It’s fine.” Khai lowered his hand to take a hold of Third’s hand with a gentle squeeze. “Let’s go home now.”
Third shook his head but he didn’t pull his hand from Khai’s hold. “Not until you tell me what’s bothering you.”
Khai sighed heavily and tilted his head back so that he could look up at the dark sky above them. After several seconds he lowered his head again to look at Third. “Fine. It’s… silly. I jus- Look, I had this thing planned for us tonight, including going out for dinner but work happened so I had to cancel and it was really hard to get reservations in the first place, and-” His words broke off when Third used their joined hands to pull him close. Third let go only to wrap his arms around Khai’s neck and hug him tightly. Khai stood there in shock for a few seconds before he returned the hug. He gently squeezed Third and then he rocked them from side to side, nearly knocking them both off balance as Third laughed.
“You’re absolutely ridiculous,” Third said when he pulled away to look at Khai. “That’s what has had you all upset?”
“Let’s go home.” Third shook his head a couple of times, though he had a fond smile on his face at the same time. It meant enough to him that Khai had tried to do something thoughtful and sweet, had tried to surprise him with a nice night out together. So the plans had gotten a bit muddled. There were always other nights.
