I know Wu said he caused the Merge, but what if it was really Nya? Not directly, but what if her actions were the catalyst that eventually resulted in Wu needing to cause the Merge in order to save all 16 realms?

Back in Season 5, Nya used her powers to destroy the Preeminent, the physical manifestation of the Cursed Realm. Then in Season 6, Djinjago is shown to be falling apart. As Khanjikhan says, "The Sixteen Realms are interconnected and the balance affects us all. When one falls, another falls apart. Every action has a consequence."

Even though most of the events of Season 6 were erased, nothing would have stopped Djinjago from being destroyed (and Dragons Rising shows us that it was). But did Djinjago have another realm it was connected to, other than the Cursed Realm? And did it start a chain reaction, impacting all of the other Realms in turn?

What if all 16 realms were interconnected? According to the Ninjago wiki, we still don't know three of them. What if they are already destroyed, and Sensei Wu had to cause the Merge so that "united" those remaining could stand together?

What if Wu's two Wojira empowered students came the closest to destroying Ninjago? Morro by allowing the Cursed Realm access, and Nya by destroying the Cursed Realm and inadvertently impacting of the others as well?

I still can't help thinking of Nadakhan as a sad figure, someone whose story fits more in some ancient poem about a lost civilization that died and collapsed. I know him being obsessed with Nya isn't good, but they don't actually add that detail until like episode 4 or 5 of his season. If you just skip episodes 5 to 10 (as I did), you get a way better story of a man who's lost everything and simply wants to watch the worlds burn. If he can't have Djinjago back, he wants the world to suffer as he has.

And I can't blame him. Imagine you came from an ancient civilization. You had everything as the prince and heir to the throne. But you chafed under the pressure and wanted to explore the worlds. You escaped your home, got yourself exiled, wind up in exile. That's Nadakhan's story. He had Delara and his crew and his piracy to stave away the loneliness, but then he was locked in his lamp for centuries.

When he awakens, he finds his partner is dead. His kingdom is gone. He's the last of his kind, because the mortals have foolishly exterminated his entire race. He has no home. No home. He is lost in the world, a man utterly broken. And he will see the people that took everything from him pay. He will have his revenge. And I almost can't blame him. There's something so sad about that story to me, and there is an emotional depth to Scott McNeil's performance. Very cruel, capable of grief and sadness (he did seem genuinely hurt knowing Delara was dead and Djinjago was too). He's a Djinn who already had few morals, but who's also lost his sanity with the loss of his family.

I was off to see if anyone ever sucsesffuly applied for a permit for a limited, scientific-research related realm crystal (the thingy that was used by Morro Wu to grant Preeminent passage to our realm) (also, ya, that ghost dude turns out was legaly under Master Wu's guardianship for a period of time) usage, so that, if that's legaly possible, i'd get to just go into Djinjago and ask locals about the lore and mechanics of their magic and sword of souls n' stuff (i am still waiting for a reply btw, and if i luck out - a scientific trip to another realm, if i don't but i am listened to - i'll at least get my answers from someone else's cross-realm trip, and worst case my email just went to spam and it's another dead end hit), and i did NOT expect to return to pineapple-on-pizza related war :I

But i will be so bold to declare my political alighment in this fight: Pineapples don't belong on pizza. Neither do cheeses, meats, mushrooms, vegtables, fruits, fish, sauces, berries or herbs. JUST THE CRUST, TRUST THE CRUST!! /hj (On a real note tho, let people eat their pinapples on their pizza, they aren't putting their pineapples on your pizza. Unless they do, then make them buy you a new pizza since they messed with yours)

as a skybound hater how do you feel about possible future djinnjago related content? Do you think they will handle bringing up skybound somehow

I doubt that they'll bring it up. And, honestly, unless they're gonna do a full re-examination of jaya and breakdown of jay's character flaws, I'd prefer they take the approach of largely ignoring that it happened. I think it's cool if they try and work in djinjago, there's potential there, primarily because it was so underdeveloped to begin with, but if they want to bring skybound back into things... there's a lot you have to reckon with in my book.
