Different from who he is standing in a parking garage having a panic attack in the middle of a cold November afternoon. "Am I… am I my history? Am I always to be the… the frightened boy being pressed into bed, after bed, after bed? Who am I, Daniel?" Daniel looks about as lost as he feels. "I don't know," he says and the answer almost sends Armand over the literal edge but Daniel continues. "But we can talk about it, Armand. We've got… eternity to figure that out." "Not if the Great Conversion kills us all," he says -- Post the events from the vampire Lestat, Daniel and Armand figure their new found companionship out while exploring their past together

Kaleidoscopes and Eclipse
Pairing: GN!Reader x Chilchuck Tims Genre: somewhat smut, implications of it Word count: 2232 Reader appearance/notes: Will do my best to keep it accessible for everyone!
NOTE: This story was previously called Kaleidoscope and Twilight. Changed it to its proper term which happens to be Eclipse! • A group of butterflies is called a kaleidoscope, and a group of moths is called an eclipse. Sometimes, that’s the only thing you can describe the feelings in you. The fluttering kaleidoscope and the curious eclipse.
You’ve always liked Chilchuck. From the first moment that the two of you met, you’ve just liked him. Maybe it was the way that he approached you, the way that he greeted you with much skepticism. To be fair, you did just suddenly join their party, not telling them the reason why you were alone in the dungeon in the first place but it was a stark contrast between how the other party members greeted and welcomed you compared to his, and that stood out to you.
Or maybe it’s the way his eyes flutter when he’s sleepy, fists clenching and unclenching to keep himself awake while the glow of the campfire bounced off of his skin. Sometimes, lips parted as he breathed through it, making him look almost unreal. Enigmatic, gorgeous, whatever the word that can be used to describe someone who’s unrealistically pretty.
For such a skeptical half-foot, at times like these, his glow seemed so enticing that you find yourself reaching sometimes. Like a moth attracted to a flame.
Or maybe it’s the way he uses his hands, expertly moving them as he pries open a lock, a chest, or dismantling a trap. The way his gloved hand lightly ghosts a wall, carefully listening for any suspicious sounds. You’re sometimes curious how his hand would feel if you take off the gloves but he seems very iffy when it comes to them. So you never bothered to ask if you can touch it. You just wonder if they’re as soft as you think they are, or are they rough, are the fingers calloused because of how many times he’s used them instead of properly using the tools.
There were too many factors to pinpoint what exactly made you like Chilchuck but does it really matter? You just know that you like him and it doesn’t really bother you why you do.
“Are you alright?” He asks, keeping his pace slow so he falls into step with you. His footsteps are so light, it’s as if he’s not even walking beside you. “Yeah, I’m alright” you blink as you answer. He hums in response, putting his arms up behind his head as he looks forward. Staring at the way Laios and Marcille were quietly arguing about where to go.
As the party stopped in the middle of the hallway, trying to figure out directions. You and Chilchuck went to check the surroundings to make sure it’s okay to take a small rest there.
Your eyes carefully followed Chilchuck’s gloved hand, tracing the wall, staying as quietly as possible. Without looking at you, he started a conversation.
“So, why did you join our party?” He asks, giving a slight side glance but not putting his hand away from the wall. You hum as you try to listen for any possible sounds from across the hallway, turning a corner with Chilchuck to find that there was a water fountain there. You point at it “We can tell the others that there’s a nearby water fountain here” He nods at your response, mouth opening to say something but getting cut off as you spoke once again. “I was alone. There was a party I tried to join because they seemed nice…” you trailed off as you slowly walked towards the fountain to wash your face.
“They chucked me into the dungeon without any briefing because they wanted to see if I had what it takes to be part of their group. In the end, they decided that I was better off being food for the monsters. "You finished your sentence, turning back to see Chilchuck’s reaction. Eyes wide in surprise before it contorted to anger.
“I didn’t want to tell you guys at first because- Well-“ you stuttered and rubbed your arms, taking an interest to the wall next to you “I didn’t want you guys to think the same way they did” you say. Voice barely audible for anyone else but it hung heavily in the air.
“They’re assholes.” Chilchuck started, face still contorted with frustration and anger. His gloved hand no longer on any walls as it clenched tightly beside him.
“You’re doing well as an adventurer” he huffs before walking to your side, glancing at the fountain that slightly rippled due to the running water that hits the surface. “…. One of the orcs said before that I should do better at letting others know how I feel…” He looked at you “so, I’m letting you know that I’m glad you joined our party” you chuckle slightly at his words, making him lightly blush.
“Maybe it was fate for me to be in your party” You said teasingly but there was a hint of truth behind your words. That maybe things happened the way it did so that you’ll meet them. Chilchuck takes his gloves off as he cups the water from the fountain, a small smile evident on his face as he washed it.
“Maybe it was” He agreed, but you were too focused on his now bare hands to even notice that he said something back to you. It seemed soft. So soft that you felt like there was a group of butterflies in your stomach. A kaleidoscope.
Wiping his face off with the handkerchief he keeps in his pocket, he finally notices the way you looked at him, or rather, at his hand. He raises an eyebrow at you, not stopping to wipe his face dry. “Do you have a problem with my hand?” He asks you, stuffing the handkerchief back into his pocket and grabbing his gloves.
“Oh” you blush bright red as he catches you staring at his hand. You look down at your own hands, fiddling with your thumb “I was uh…. Curious” you honestly tell him, his own words about being honest echoing in your head as you avoid any eye contact with the half-foot. He tilts his head slightly “What about?”
“Your hands” you mumble shyly, the red tinge on your face never disappearing.
“My hands? Why would you be curious about them?” As Chilchuck asked that, he looked at his own hands, flexing and clenching them, to see that maybe it has something to do with its appearance that got you curious. You gulp thickly, still fiddling with your hands as your breathing slowly becomes uneven.
“I was just curious if they were soft. That’s all” you cleared your throat, slightly biting the bottom of your lips in awkwardness, holding your hands tight.
“Do you want to touch them?” He offers his hand to you, your eyes finally landing on his figure and suddenly, you’re reminded of all the nights the glow of the fire perfectly bounced off of his skin. The way that the glow of the wall lanterns danced on his skin and on his hand right now made it seem impossible to turn away any time soon. Like a moth attracted to a flame, the kaleidoscope in your stomach suddenly had an eclipse as well.
You grabbed his hand gently, carefully, as if he’d break under your touch. Ghosting your fingers on his palm, not noticing the small sounds that escape his lips. Too focused on the feeling of his hand, you don’t notice the way his breathing changed or the way that a small tinge of redness appeared on his cheeks. You press on a muscle on his palm, eliciting a gasp from Chilchuck
“S-sorry, did that hurt?” You asked worriedly, almost letting go of his hand but he pushed it further into yours. “No, I was just surprised. You can continue.” He whispers, almost as if it was to himself but you shook it off and continued to examine his hand. You gently caress it, trying to feel for any callouses.
There were some in some spots but his hand felt soft to the touch. You couldn’t stop yourself from prodding his palm with your thumb. “You never take your gloves off.” You look up to him, finally noticing his flushed face.
“So I was curious how they felt…” You confess, eyes scanning his face, memorizing every detail on it. The blush on his cheeks never went away, and instead, deepening further with the way you caressed his palm.
“I’m- My hands are sensitive.” He tells you, clenching his hand in yours. “How so?” You shot back, eyes not moving away from his figure. Slowly squirming under your eyes, he shifts from one foot to another. “They’re just sensitive. That’s all.”
You look back down at his hand, softly ghosting your finger across it, Chilchuck not being able to hold it any longer. A small moan escapes him.
He takes his hand away and quickly puts the gloves back on “let’s go-“
“No wait, what was that?”
He stops in his tracks, not looking at you. Ears and cheeks a bright red as he tried to look for a response. “I told you, it’s sensitive.” He huffs out, trying to continue to walk but you grab his wrist, turning him back to you. “Wha-“
“Can I do something???” You ask him, it almost sounded so urgent that Chilchuck had half a mind to say yes. Then he remembered that the two of you are still talking about his hand.
“What? No- What are you even going to do???” He asks back with equal urgency in his voice but not making any effort to take his wrist away from you. At the drop of his question, you blush so hard that Chilchuck couldn’t say or do anything but look at you in surprise.
There was a long silence between the two of you, only the running water of the fountain can be heard and nothing else. However, you can clearly see that Chilchuck is thinking of a response. His own curiosity spiking up, wanting to know what you’re going to do.
“Fine.” A sigh of relief passes your lips, the eclipse in your stomach eating you up in curiosity as the kaleidoscope makes your heart flutter. You gently lead him back to the fountain and sit on the ledge of it, he followed your actions, one of his legs resting on the ledge.
Slowly, you take off the glove from his hand, your fingers tracing the lines of his palm before you take it close to your lips. Closing your eyes as you kissed his fingers.
Chilchuck’s breath hitches at your actions, not knowing what to expect next when you suddenly licked his palm, eyes half-lidded staring at his face, wanting to see what his reaction will be. His lips form into a thin line as he tries to bite down any sounds that can come out from him but that only encourages you to do more. To see what other reactions he’ll give you.
Nipping the tip of his finger, you see his free hand clench beside him on the ledge of the fountain, still biting down on his lips. He was biting so hard that it worried you, so you reached your hand out to his cheek before speaking against his hand “you might hurt yourself if you bite too hard.” You see him stop biting down, lips red from how hard it was.
You graze your thumb on the bottom of his lips before continuing to nip his finger and suck on one of them. He whimpers at the action, putting his free hand on the half of his face. Breathing ragged as he stared at you, licking and sucking his finger.
“S-Shit” He cusses out, his lips parted as his breathing becomes heavy. His free hand making its way to your arm and holding on to it, resting his forehead on your shoulder. Chilchuck’s body slowly becomes limp from what you assume is pleasure of getting his finger sucked. “I-“ he gets cut off when suddenly both of you hear Senshi calling out from the hallway, looking for the two of you.
The heat of the moment disappeared, like a glass shattering on the floor, as both you and Chilchuck moved away from each other. Just on time when Senshi came in. He glances at both of you before beaming “you two found a fountain! That’s good!” He praises, you clear your throat as you stand up before Chilchuck. “Oh yeah, we were looking for traps or hidden passages earlier” you can feel the half-foot’s gaze on your back but you don’t turn to him.
You don’t want to. Or else you won’t be able to stop yourself and do something else just to see more of the reactions that he gave you. Closing your eyes for a moment, you remember the way that Chilchuck looked at you with flushed cheeks and lips slightly red and parted from all the biting he did.
Senshi tells both of you to join him back with the others as they have decided they want to set camp somewhere.
Just like that, both you and Chilchuck leave the room. Never speaking about what happened ever again.
Though… Sometimes he’d take his gloves off and lay it on his thighs, claiming he wanted to air it out but he knew what it did to you.
He knew that the curious eclipse and the fluttering kaleidoscope in you would never settle down once you see it. Maybe he did it to tease you. Or maybe he wants to see what you’ll do. Who knows?

Daniel Molloy is forced to perform self-introspection and cope with his internalized ageism while trying to figure out if he's morally reprehensible for finding his boyfriend hot after he triggers Armand's PTSD while bragging about how hot and "young" his boyfriend is.

This is a favourite live performance of mine (among many. Dw, I’ll tell you all about them)
I love it when we can get the whole audience to participate in the atmosphere. I say we, but to be fair it’s mostly Dave. He could -and has- commanded a whole stadium worth of people. Sure, they may sing my words but they sing along with him.
Sometimes when we’re on stage, performing my songs, I feel like I’m singing along with him instead of just singing. He’s the main star in that way and I love it like that. Maybe my words can captivate an audience but without the appropriate packaging, the appropriate vessel… None of those words would come alive quite like they do thanks to him.
“But Martin” I hear you say. “You perform as a lead vocalist sometimes” and yes, that is true I do. I even made a solo album where I sang the whole thing. How about them apples? Please check it out.
Ok, enough willful avoidance. Simple truth is; I’m not a frontman. Not like Dave anyway. I’m more of a right hand side kind of guy. Which is why I’m almost always to Dave’s right when we’re on stage😅😊
Don’t get me wrong, I love being on stage but I’d just feel disingenuous if I tried to copy Dave’s energy. I’m not immune to it however, sometimes he just makes me want to let loose a little and dance a few steps. I think I’d collapse from exhaustion if I had to do what he does for even one night. Jumping around AND singing. Christ almighty.
About the kiss. Yeah, David is very physically affectionate. I know it’s difficult to show appreciation verbally when you’re on stage, singing… so we have these looks and gestures we give each other. Sometimes little codewords to make communication simple. It’s just a thick series of inside jokes and references these days. Words, short phrases etc. So to me, that kiss ment that he liked that I completely nailed those vocals.
I heard someone say to me that they were surprised that I put my arm around Dave’s shoulders. What I’m more surprised by is the cameraman seemingly deciding to zoom in on Dave’s arm around my waist.
I really appreciated the little dodge he does to tangle and untangle himself from me. It makes me feel small despite our height difference being less than seven centimetres.
“Small” like in a cute way, not like he demeans me. He elevates me with literally everything he does
