the thing with dolly is that she co-opts every kind of real struggle in the world and tries to use it to justify being a nasty misogynistic jealous dick.
she can't be obsessed with luke and a misogynist because she's a lesbian
she can't be extremely weird about babies because omg are you not pro-choice!!! women's rights!!!
she can't be, again, extremely weird about Nicola because she's Fat and Nicola is Not!!! She's the one who suffers REAL oppression and Nicola can not suffer fatphobia because she is not Fat Enough.
she justifies her hatred for penelope's with essays and essays saying Penelope is this and Penelope is that (the latest one is how Penelope isn't a feminist bc real feminism is humiliating yourself over a white man on tumblr dot com)
now we can't say she's mad bc nobody wants to fuck her bc apparently she's asexual (And a Lesbian. And says extremely out of pocket bordering on sexual harrassment things about Luke Newton on a daily basis)
so yeah, dolly can't just like or dislike stuff. she has to assign moral qualities to everything she does. everything she does is Moral, everything we do is immoral and everything she says is ok because she suffers every type of oppression known to Man. All while stanning the most privileged type of person there is on earth: a white, conventionally attractive (pains me to say that) man in his thirties who was born and raised in a developed country in a family with means.
