Reposted from @graphic_vegan If you care about animals, and witnessing animal abuse and slaughter troubles you, only a vegan diet can eliminate every last bit of it. It may seem counter-intuitive, but the milk and egg industries are as tied to animal slaughter as the meat industry. . #dominionmovement #eggsarecruel #bevegan #govegan🌱 #dairyisscary #plantbased #cancelanimalag #stopabusinganimals https://www.instagram.com/p/CAIU4AXhb9m/?igshid=1qf4oqtdmgfki

“Dominion”
Earth Day Documentary screening
To celebrate Earth Day this year the Department of Religion presented a special screening of the Australian documentary "Dominion" in Anderson hall room 7 . The film exposed the unpleasant interworking of modern animal agriculture through drones, hidden & handheld cameras. What better way to explore the morality and validity of our dominion over the animal kingdom than on Earth Day! The film also explored other ways animals are exploited by humans such as for sport, fashion, and research.
Why should we reconsider our impact on the earth and our environment?
The hidden camera technology used in the film expressed the clear message of abuse and unjust practices within the trade. Technological determinism provokes change amongst the general public, specific activist communities, and government agencies. Innovations such as filming methods, communicate the harsh realities animals face through a transferrable medium which seemingly addresses the changes humans should make within society and industry. The technological transformation of these moral issues into digital media have the ability to engage audiences and reach new viewers in an impactful way. Without a platform for an online movement or campaign, the issue may never reach a broad enough audience to create social change.
Technology itself has a dominant force over the formation and scalability of human activities. (Video of chicks being processed for a farm...)
Reposted from @mynameistriinu - In this picture we have a fistulated (aka cannulated) cow. Humans cut holes into their sides and remove a chunk of their abdomens to expose their stomachs. The hole is then fitted with a plastic ring to hold their flesh open. • Cows who undergo the horrific procedure need four to six weeks to recover, and they can suffer from complications from surgery, including displaced or distended abdomens, leakage, inflammation, and infections. • Why are cows fistulated? In addition to studying the microbes in fistulated cows’ stomachs, farmers sometimes transfer these microbes to other animals. Some claim that the transfer can improve the health of cows—but the procedure actually seems to benefit the meat and dairy industries, which use it to increase profits. Farmers can look at the contents of the animals’ stomachs and use their observations to maximize the amount of milk and meat that they can get from the cows, who are ultimately exploited and slaughtered. • Please stop giving your money to these industries and GO VEGAN 🌱. • • • • • #vegan #veganactivism #veganfortheanimals #cubeoftruth #dominionmovement #wewillrisetogether #vegetarian #vegetarianrecipes #chicken #beef #cuteanimals #babyanimals #carnismdebunked #cows #veganuary #agforapril #dairy #dairyfree #dairyisscary #postmilkgeneration #govegan #meatthevictims #carnivorediet #carnivoreketo #meat - #regrann https://www.instagram.com/p/Bw0EBf-DAn9/?igshid=1inwk779620gs
I would kindly like to remind #vegans that it is not just us humans that rely upon meat production.
