i genuinely liked this episode, but i gotta confess: sylvie's a REALLY generic character, and I'm afraid loki is also becoming one
don't get me wrong: I've always loved loki's character, but I've been losing interest in him since ep 3 where they destroyed his personality to make sylvie look like a badass and made him a wimpy coward (more than usual) [the problem isn't sylvie alone, it's also how she's portrayed]
in this episode I was sure that our main loki is regressing as a character for the simple fact of: WHY were all other Lokis more interesting and more protagonists-ish than the actual protagonist Loki? I want a whole series of twenty episodes and three seasons about kid Loki and his adventures with alligator Loki and old Loki (wonderful finale for him by the way, I loved it), but I don't think I could handle 3 seasons with our current unsalted Loki converted to literally any and all Marvel heroes.
I don't care too much about this loki tbh.
Now, the Mobius issue: I'm not even talking as a shipper anymore, but it's ridiculous the lack of prominence — Mobius appeared for two seconds and fuck, he barely had decent interactions with Loki (and their relationship, romantic or not, was the most interesting thing of the series until the old/kid/alligator Lokis appeared). Seriously.
what saved this episode for me was the other Lokis, and I kind of don't want to see original Loki and Sylvie anymore, I want THE OTHER LOKIS
and I keep wondering why not even in Loki's series Loki is the protagonist???
The pacing: this episode was a lot of fun but at the same time it was very..... busy (?), the characters changing their minds from one scene to another and the few potentially interesting interactions left out
THE CHARACTERS AGAIN, SYLVIE, LOKI, ETCS: they already showed everything there was to show about the couple protagonist lokis. forgive me, but sylvie has no personality, and despite being a loki, she doesn't have ONE trait in common with any of the other lokis. the show tries A LOT to prove she's a hot fucking badass when she IS NOT, and it just gets meh (old media issue of treating female character as a thing and not a person, as her only (desperate) trait is "being a badass")
and by the way, what happened to the romance plot? it seems that in this episode Loki/sylvie became friends again and all the romantic overtones disappeared. my personal interpretation is that loki is in love and she's not, but again, i particularly find this a terrible concept (if she REALLY acted like a loki, it'd be a fucking amazing metaphor bout that "destined to be alone" stuff with him falling in love with himself; but she DOESN'T act in any way like an actual loki, which takes the weight off the metaphor that doesn't even exist anymore), because they FORCED main loki to fall in love with a woman he met two minutes ago without the least bit of chemistry or possible development IM SORRY IM ALWAYS BRINGING THIS SHIT UP, ITS JUST THAT SYLKI PHYSICALLY PAINS ME and every interaction between them isnt even good
that is: our protagonist is terrible since all the other characters shine more than him.
Rating: Explicit? Idk I would say 18+ because it’s suggestive.

A/N: This popped in my head and I just kind of started writing. Idek. It is what it is. I had Guys My Age by Hey Violet playing and this is what came from it.
What is the best thing to do when you have a broken heart? Find a distraction as quick as possible. Okay, you knew it probably wasn’t the best thing to do, but you were hell bent on finding someone something to distract you.
That’s how you ended up in the cantina across town. You had spent years loving someone that just couldn’t love you back. No matter how hard you tried it wasn’t enough and you were over it. It was time to forget, even for just a little while. It was time to have fun. It was time to just kriffing lose yourself.
You could think about your actions and your mental state in the morning. Between the liquor and your ever-growing needs, you didn’t care who you flirted with. The guy in front of you was handsome but you knew it wouldn’t end up being very satisfying for you. He was cocky and far too sure of himself.
Flirting was okay though, right? At least he was interested in you for the time being. It gave you a reprieve from the war raging around the galaxy and your broken heart.
You looked up from the table when you saw someone in black robes walk in. Your chest seemed to catch when you realized that amber eyes were looking directly into yours. With a devilish grin he sauntered over to you and your companion bolted.
“Seat taken?”
“Not anymore, apparently.”
The man sat down, leaning back with the same grin on his face. His dirty blonde hair fell into his face, so he carded it back with his hand. He screamed danger and you knew for a fact you had never been so interested in someone before.
“Tell me, darling, what is such a fine woman like yourself doing in an uncivilized place like this?”
His accent was absolutely from Coruscant. Your eyebrows raised in surprise at how sophisticated he sounded considering how dangerous he seemed to be.
“Could say to same to you. You definitely aren’t from here.”
He chuckled darkly and nodded once.
“You’re observant. What else do you see?”
You smirked at him, wondering just how this game was going to go.
“Hmm, well you’re very sure of yourself. Walked right in and came to me even though I was sitting with someone.”
“I have good reason to be sure of myself, darling.”
You laughed lightly and leaned forward, not missing the way his eyes shot down to your low-cut shirt before moving back to your face.
“If I didn’t know any better, I would say your robes designate you as a Jedi. However, no Jedi I’ve ever seen has eyes like those.”
“Oh? And how many Jedi have you known.”
You sat back, crossing your arms with an amused smirk.
“A few.”
He hummed and played with his beard for a moment before shifting so he was resting his arms on the table.
“What else?”
“You’re trouble.”
He laughed and gave you a feral smile. You felt like electricity was shooting through your entire body. Every instinct you had was telling you to bolt. He was a Sith, that much was for certain.
“You probably are right. Running would have been a good idea. At first.”
Your face fell for a moment before you remembered that force users could listen to thoughts. He smirked again and nodded.
“It’s not a good idea anymore?”
“Oh no, darling.”
“And why is that?”
He reached out and hooked his finger underneath your chin and pulled your face towards his. His grin turned dangerous as he looked deep into your eyes.
“Because I’m very good at getting what I want.”
“Is that a Sith trait?”
He chuckled and ran his thumb across your bottom lip, causing your breath to hitch.
“What do you know of Sith, sweetheart?”
“I know they’re dangerous. I know they destroy everything they get their hands on. It’s best to stay away from them at all costs.”
“Hmm. Tell me, are you afraid of being destroyed?”
Your mouth fell open and he chuckled darkly again.
“When I walked in here, I could hear it. You need a distraction; something to make you forget. We both know the man who previously sat here wouldn’t have been able to please you in the way that you need. Right?”
You nodded and he grabbed your chin roughly but not enough to hurt you.
“Use your words, sweetheart. I want to hear you.”
“Yes, you’re right.”
“Good girl. Now that we both agree what you’re here looking for; are you afraid of being destroyed?”
He leaned in further, so his mouth was right by your ear as he growled.
“Are you afraid of me destroying you?”
You let out a small gasp and your eyes fluttered shut.
“Make your choice, sweetheart. What’s it going to be? Are you going to let the stories of how dangerous the Sith are deter you? Or are you going to let me make you forget everything you came out here to escape?”
His amber eyes seemed to tear right through you as you looked into them. You knew he could make you do whatever he wanted yet here he was giving you a choice. He wanted to give you his attention in a way you had been craving. He may have been a Sith but something about him made you feel safer than half the men in the cantina.
“They also don’t know how to take care of you the way I do.”
You bit your bottom lip, holding back a smirk.
“I don’t even know your name, Sith.”
He laughed and stood, holding out his hand for you. Once you took it, he pulled you quickly into him, wrapping his arm around your waist. His free hand gently ran up your neck, pushing your head back so you were looking him directly in the eyes.
“Most know me as Darth Veth.”
He leaned in, speaking loud enough for you to hear but making sure his words were only for you.
“However, my dear, you’ll be screaming Obi Wan very soon.”

Okay I’ve just finished season 3 of One Day at a Time and I have a lot of feelings about Penelope and Schneider.
On one hand, I absolutely love their friendship. Their relationship is my favorite one on the show. I love how Penelope is always done with Schneider’s white, privileged bullshit, but she’s also the one who always believes in him. She knows that he may act like a kid most of the time, but he is also a good man she can count on. She goes to him when she’s struggling with something and he calms her down when she has a panic attack. He’s the best friend she could wish for. And he finds the same in her. When he went back to drinking, she was the one to push him out of it. That’s a beautiful friendship and we need more friendship between women and men like this one.
But... on the other hand, I would love to see them as a couple. Not much would change. Schneider is already part of the family, but then he would be a real member of the family and that would make him happy. Penelope would have a best friend in her partner, someone who would support and love her no matter what. This would feel more genuine that all other romantic relationships of Penelope and Schneider as they all have been rushed and undeveloped. Penelope and Schneider have a beautiful history ahead of them, many years of friendship and hey, friends to lovers trope combined with slowburn is like a music to my ears!
So I love their friendship and I enjoy every platonic scene of theirs, but I also think that turning them into a couple would make much sense and wouldn’t destroy their friendship but only enrich it with some romantic benefits. I know they won’t be endgame and I’m okay with that, but god, the potential...
