Ah fuck me. I did that thing where my last cheque had a fuck ton of hours on it & i went TREAT YO SELF. (AND also was responsible & paid all my bills) but now i have an unfortunate amount of money left 🙃. And last week I only got 1 shift. And will only get 1 this week. Whoops. Fuck.

“I was born on May 27th, 1978. Some hospital in Queens, New York. I honestly don't know who my dad was since Mama doesn't talk about him much. We have a photograph, though otherwise, she says he was a charming guy. We didn't exactly have a grand life, just a tiny apartment, and a little garden. Mama worked a bunch of jobs to take care of us, usually odd jobs here and there. I grew up influenced by the music in the area and on the radio. My favorites are definitely Bowie and the like; (Prince, Queen, Fleetwood Mac, Wings, ABBA). I stole my hairstyle from Cyndi Lauper actually. Even though we didn't have a lot, we still found our own ways to be happy. When I was 9, I came down with this terrible fever. I was sick for almost 2 months, and I really thought I was gonna die. Oddly enough, it was around the time Stoney showed up. Mama did whatever she could to stay by my side. Worked even more hours to pay for my meds. For that, I'll always admire how determined she was. Bit of a jump here, but when I was 14, my mom got a letter from Grandma in Japan, saying that she was dying. And somehow, we made an improvised move there, to Morioh. Turns out Grandma was just faking it just to have us live there. An even bigger surprise was the apartment she got for us, with a store below, which would later be our gardening shop. Japanese schools were hard to transition into. Mama taught me some of the language back in the U.S. but I never used it much. I picked it up, though. Also, my classmates were into exchange kids like me, so I got some attention here and there. I guess some of it went away once everyone graduated. I decided to stay home and help Mama run the shop, though my classmates and some of my bestest friends went to universities. I don't know if I'll ever go back to school, though it's on my mind. Life is pretty ordinary, even though having a Stand is more strange than normal. Stoney gives me a hand carrying stuff like bags of mulch and soil. I also got into 'sculpting' little statues of flowers and even little critters like rabbits and squirrels. I figured out a trick to cut the stone in 2 pieces so they'd be okay. I feel bad doing it each time, so I always give them a snack after. I get regulars in the shop, sometimes new faces. Every day's different. So yeah. That was a mouthful. Hope ya didn't fall asleep there.”
