this AU really started as just me toying with the idea of actor sylvain with his protective bodyguard felix then wanting to put dorothea and sylvain in fancy clothes but the more i thought about it, the more ideas i had dshhjs

SO expending this with more characters cuz it's fun!

sylvain: actor, model, former child actor dorothea: actress, model, singer, former opera singer lorenz: stage actor claude: writes stage plays for lorenz in his free time ferdinand: stage actor, making his debut in cinema annette: pop singer hilda: pop singer, model yuri: model, singer, former boys band member bernadetta: successful romance writer, debuting as a script writer encouraged and helped by sylvain

dorothea and sylvain have played romantic partners in many movies together and have very good chemistry on camera and during interviews, leading to lot of speculations of them dating

sylvain has the reputation of dating all his co-stars

felix started to wear a mask bc he saw that he was nicknamed "sylvain gautier's hot bodyguard" online and he hated it but now people only finds him hotter and more mysterious with the mask

OF COURSE there are rumors that sylvain and dorothea are dating or at least, have smth romantic (or sexual…??? 👀) going on with their bodyguards (literally the whole point of the au)

ferdinand, sylvain, lorenz and claude attended the same school (think, fodlan's equivalent of juilliard) and used to do stage plays together

ferdinand recently made his debut on screen while lorenz stayed in theater only because he prefers it here, claude's job is totally unrelated to acting or theater but he still writes and arranges stage plays for lorenz in his free time (mostly shakespearean plays)

sylvain has always liked theater and his parents encouraged and supported him when he was noticed by an agent at a very young age to be cast into a movie. he enjoyed it a lot at first but slowly lose his passion but stayed to please his parents (and there may have been parental pressure)

when he turned 19 and his contract was broken, he decided to quit acting to focus on his studies. he later returned 5 years after on his own terms

dorothea had a brief career as an opera singer but found out that she enjoyed doing musicals more

she debuted on screen with a musical and has slowly been branching out, first in romcoms or as the male lead's love interest in action movies but she has since taken more atypical roles for indie movies

felix, ingrid, sylvain are childhood friends, with ingrid initially being sylvain's bodyguard

ingrid became sylvain's bodyguard because she was worried about him and that way, she could always keep an eye on him

when dorothea rose to fame and was thinking of hiring a female bodyguard, sylvain recommended ingrid to her

ingrid then asked felix to replace her as sylvain's bodyguard

Okay, next for the asks... uh... you know, I'm losing track of what's been done. Have you done Sylvain/Dorothea?

Oh, boy. This is gonna be fun~

Needless to say, the sincere connection between Dorothea and Sylvain would absolutely rub off on their children, creating in them a desire for sincerity above all. Not needing a crest to be important to House Gautier and beyond to the neighboring noble territories would give both Philippe and Ines plenty of time to figure out who they are and stick to that as closely as possible.

Raising the two together would be an interesting dichotomy. Philippe, with his natural charm and lovely face, would be superficially adored by many, yet he would hate every second of it. Then, there's Ines. Beautiful, sure, but not quite as charming to most others since her barely contained obsession with the opposite sex would get her in trouble a lot. Dorothea would find Ines' hobby quite funny, while Sylvain would take pride in Philippe's diplomatic capabilities.

Big brother Philippe to the rescue could talk Ines' way out of any trouble her interests may cause and pull her off the hook, later telling her how weird she is with a genuine laugh. Unlike most others, he wouldn't seriously chastise her for her odd activities. She is one of those superficial types, but at least he has some mild control over how she exerts her interests and sometimes finds them very hilarious. For starters... he would actively review and edit her manuscripts.

"Hm... No, he comes on too strong here. Lead in a little slower." "But dragging it out will get boring!" "Sure, but think of it this way. You don't rush the steamy parts in an opera. The lead has to yearn a bit first, set out some breadcrumbs for his lover to follow. Then, you go in for the kill. Let your reader fall in love too." "Ooooh, I see now. Letting it simmer before it steams. I like it~."

This help of his would also assist Ines in talking to real men, since she is horrid at it. Does his charm work on his sister? On occasion, but only when he's trying to convince her to go outside and act like a functioning member of society instead of being locked up in her room writing fanfiction all day. For as vivid as her imagination is, surely she'd want to find a real man as well.

On another connecting note, Sylvain's old reputation would unfortunately have a rippling effect on Philippe. People expect him to flirt by default due to his manner of speech and the inherent preconceptions of speaking to a beautiful, confident person. Tack that on to being the son of a previously notorious flirt, and you've got fathers speaking as middlemen for their daughters, mothers warning about "men like him," and girls flirting with him in the most basic conversations. It's utterly exhausting.

And that's nothing to say of the men also attracted to him, men he'd have to deal with while training as a knight. Of course, his sister would want in on the action, asking him about it incessantly and trying to play wingman wherever she can.

As for Ines, Dorothea's reputation as a famed former songstress turned lady of House Gautier, advocate for the commonfolk and expert diplomat, would make comparisons even heavier than before and rumors spread about her. Ines prefers her craft to knighthood and politics. Though, surely selling her books would make her some money for to provide for the house at least. Then again... a daughter of House Gautier selling raunchy material under the family name would surely reflect badly on both of her parents. So, she'd have to make a pseudonym - with the help of Philippe's artistic eye, of course.
