“That’s easier said then done, Kairi-chan. It’s not like I haven’t tried!” By tried, she means putting the idea of talk out there, but then fleeing the scene as soon as she saw him. ( She was a coward, through and through. )
“Have you told this to Kaito, or are you just siding with him?” Aoko didn’t mean to snap like she had, but it felt like Kairi was. ( But Kaito didn’t really have to talk to her, did he? Not if he didn’t want to. So, it really is all Aoko’s fault here. )

Anxiety shook her to her core. “He’s late,” she murmured to herself. If he was this late, then why would he come. Why would he come at all since he hated her so much. But they needed to talk.
Or rather, she would like to talk.
She checked her watch again. “He isn’t--”
That’s when she sees him making his way to the entrance of Tropical Land. For a moment, her heart stopped. Being stuck in the “if he doesn’t come” mentality left her completely unprepared for if he did come.
