Superman and Batman Missing After Battle with Villain Duo
May 24th, 2025
Written By: Piera Landen
Yesterday, Superman, Batman, and a mysterious Robin responded to a distress call at the Superman Museum in downtown Metropolis. The trio battled Gotham villain Scarecrow and Yellow Lantern Sinestro, nearly beating them. But at the last moment, witnesses explain, Sinestro shot the trio with a gun weapon of unknown effects. All three are now missing.
Someone must have spread the news about a retro-themed day for superheroes, as at 11:46 AM yesterday, Scarecrow and Sinestro attacked the Superman Museum in downtown Metropolis. Both of them were, for unknown reasons, clad in older costumes of theirs, from at least a decade in the past. When Superman, Batman, and an unknown Robin arrived on the scene, they were similarly dressed.

“It was like I was ten years younger,” Maxwell Caven, a history student at Metropolis University who was visiting the museum to conduct some research, explained. “Batman was wearing that old blue and gray costume from when he was still a mystery to the public. And that wasn’t the same child Robin we occasionally see glimpses of! At least Superman still looked mostly normal.”
The purpose of Scarecrow and Sinestro’s was likely as a trap for the heroes. Museum curators report that nothing is missing from the displays, and Cavan remembers vaguely hearing Scarecrow say “draw the S-cresters to us,” as he ran from the initial attack.
Thankfully, most of the civilians were able to successfully escape from the museum before the MPD arrived on the scene. The only civilian casualties were minor injuries from rubble as the building nearly collapsed, and fear gas inhalation. Those subjected to fear gas were quickly transported to Metro General Hospital, where they were monitored until a standard antidote could be transported from Gotham City and administered to the patients.
Despite the good fortune of the civilians administered in the attack, it appears our heroes were not so lucky. Officers on the scene watched Superman punch Sinestro through an exterior wall of the museum, leaving a hole behind, before emerging with Batman and the mystery Robin. The officers present were unable to reach the group before Sinestro obtained a mystery gun and shot the heroes with it.

“There was a bright flash of light, then they were just gone!” Madison Cohen, an MPD officer on the scene, described. Left reeling by the shock of the heroes vanishing before their eyes, the MPD officers were unable to apprehend Scarecrow and Sinestro as they fled the scene.
In the 26 hours since the battle, none of the trio have been seen. There are no hints as to their potential whereabouts, and Superman hasn’t responded to any attempts to contact him. The Justice League has not released a statement, busy with the ongoing attacks by the criminal organization known as Inferno. If you have any information, please contact the editors of the Daily Planet and inform them.
For now, we can only hope that our heroes will soon return alive.

An Interview with Timothy Drake-Wayne on the Neon Knights Initiative
April 17th, 2025
Written by: Augusta M. Barlow
The Wayne family, the richest in the world, certainly needs no introduction. And that is doubly true for Timothy Drake-Wayne, the second youngest of Bruce Wayne’s adopted children and biological child of the late Jack and Janet Drake of the powerful Drake Industries. In 2021, Drake-Wayne used that extensive legacy and the knowledge he attained from both families to launch his international philanthropic foundation funded in part by Wayne Enterprises: the Neon Knights Initiative.
For those unaware, the Neon Knights Initiative aims to help prevent at-risk teenagers and children from turning to a life of crime through providing youth shelters, community activities, and providing expanded access to already established support centers. Since his announcement of the effort in 2021, Drake-Wayne has maintained his position as director of the organization and expanded it widely across the globe. Recently, Timothy Drake-Wayne has graciously agreed to give an interview ahead of this Friday’s charity auction hosted by Wayne Enterprises to raise money for the foundation, and invited Daily Planet reporter Augusta Mae Barlow out to the Neon Knights headquarters in Gotham City.
Augusta Mae Barlow: Thank you for agreeing to meet with me today Mr. Drake-Wayne! I’m very excited to hear more about the Neon Knights.
Timothy Drake-Wayne: It’s my pleasure Mrs. Barlow, and please, call me Tim. I’m pleased to be here. When I heard the Daily Planet was interested in doing a story on the foundation, I knew I couldn’t turn down a chance for such good publicity.
AB: And we at the Daily Planet would never turn down the chance to give such a wonderful organization the attention they deserve. Speaking of which, would you be willing to tell us a bit about the Neon Knights?
TDW: I’d be glad to. We’re a philanthropic social foundation funded in part by Wayne Enterprises, which donated enough money for us to get off the ground and begin our efforts. But the majority of our funds these days come from donations and fundraising. That’s why we host multiple events throughout the year to raise the money necessary for our expenditures.
AB: What expenditures does the Neon Knights need so much money for?
TDW: Well, there’s the operating costs for all of our locations of course. We have centers in over 38 cities globally, soon to be 39 with our under-construction center in Seoul, and each of those centers runs multiple outreach and community improvement programs for their respective districts. Those could range from planning events to engage young teens in social activities to encourage community building, funding shelters to help homeless minors, and even simple things like providing a place for teenagers to relax or offering free tutoring services. That alone costs a lot of money, and doesn’t even account for any of our employee’s salaries or property bills. As a philanthropic non-profit organization, we rely entirely on donations and fundraising to do all of this.
AB: Those sound like some fantastic efforts by the Neon Knights initiative. Providing teenagers with a place they can turn to is a wonderful idea. But where did the inspiration for this come from?
TDW: It’s honestly pretty simple. I first started to think of the idea for the organization when Gotham City was experiencing a particularly tumultuous period of gang violence in 2021. I noticed that many of the members of these gangs had been wrapped up in crime for a long time and began to do some research. There’s a well-documented relationship between age and crime, where the number of offenders begins to rapidly rise in teenage years, peak in adolescence, then fall of sharply. But there’s also a wealth of evidence that youth incarceration repeatedly fails to address the issue and is extremely damaging. So, why not target the heart of the issue directly and attempt to cut off the rise in crime before it begins by helping particularly at-risk teenagers?
AB: At-risk teenagers? Would you be able to expand on that?
TDW: These are teenagers that may be more likely to end up committing crimes, whether that be due to difficulties in school or a tumultuous home life, pressure from outside influences, or a number of other factors. Our goal is to help these teenagers by providing them with a safe space to turn to and resources they can utilize. We provide pro-bono therapy and legal assistance, secure community spaces they can socialize with peers in, and help with obtaining anything else they need.
AB: Does any of the inspiration for this come from your own experiences and family? Didn’t much of your adoptive family come from places of hardship?
TDW: You’re correct. My eldest brother, Dick Grayson, briefly lived in a juvenile detention facility for a time after the death of his parents, before Bruce Wayne took him in as a ward. All of the orphanages, group homes, and foster homes in the city were full and CPS couldn’t find anywhere else to put him. He’s told me that he still has nightmares of the place and the conditions the other children there lived in, and some of the things they told him. There’s also my best friend, Stephanie Brown, the daughter of Arthur Brown, or the supervillain named Cluemaster. She grew up in the suburbs, but still faced the struggles of poverty and has stated that if she didn’t hate her father so much, there’s a very good chance she may have accepted his multiple offers to work with him as a teenager. Or my younger foster-brother, Duke Thomas, who grew up in the narrows with two loving parents but eventually had that ripped away from him. That resulted in him being shoved into Gotham’s tumultuous and dangerous foster-care system, and ending up as part of the ‘We are Robin’ movement before being taken in by Bruce. All of them fell into the ‘at-risk’ category and could have easily had a much worse life. Why shouldn't millions more who are in similar situations also be able to get the kind of help Bruce gave them?
AB: That’s a very poignant statement Tim, but many other people have said similar things. What made you decide to step up and put action behind those thoughts?
TDW: One of the foundational values my parents instilled in me was backing up your words. What you say means nothing if you don’t follow it up with concrete, real action. I’m far from the first person to start an organization dedicated to at-risk youth, and I certainly won’t be the last. But I saw a way I could help, even if it was just by creating yet another place children and teenagers could turn to and targeting cities that don’t have enough established locations to support their population. So when I temporarily became the CEO of Wayne Enterprises in 2021, I decided to use that position to take action. If I had access to all that money and power, then why not use it for some good?
Timothy Drake-Wayne, pictured with Tiffany Fox (left) and Tamara Fox (right) in one of the first press conferences announcing the establishment of the Neon Knights Initiative (Image Credit: Gotham Gazette, 2021).
AB: So you became CEO of Wayne Enterprises, founded the Neon Knights and began the ground-work, then almost immediately returned power to Bruce Wayne? How did that happen? Weren’t you seventeen at the time?
TDW: Ha, it’s a bit complicated. So, Bruce was considering finally retiring and turning over management of his company to someone else, likely Lucius Fox who has been the acting CEO for over a decade. But, he screwed up the paperwork a bit and accidentally transferred all of his stocks and the position of CEO to me instead. So I was technically the majority shareholder and CEO until that could be worked out, but it was only really in name. Lucius Fox maintained his position and did all the work, until it could all be sorted out. But by then Bruce had changed his mind and decided he wanted the position of majority shareholder back, so he retook his spot and Lucius became the official CEO again.
AB: While that sounds convoluted and confusing, I’m not very surprised by it. At least the mixup gave you the chance to start the Neon Knights, right?
TDW: Yes, it was very fortunate! That was really the only thing I did during my technical tenure as CEO. I was seventeen after-all, even if I was an emancipated minor.
AB: And why is that?
TDW: To be honest, I was bored with school. That was really the main reason. The classes were boring so I just dropped out and decided to find myself. It worked out very well for me, but if you’re considering the same path, then don’t take it. I was extremely lucky.
AB: Very well said, and I’m sure many parents out there thank you for those words. Now, unfortunately, our time is coming to an end, but is there anything else you would like our readers to know?
TDW: Please consider donating to the Neon Knights Initiative. All of the money donated goes towards a very important cause, and you can verify that information as all of our budgets are posted publicly online. All further information can be found online at our website, which I’m sure the Daily Planet will link in this article.
AB: Of course we will! Well, thank you for your time Tim, and I wish you the best of luck at the upcoming charity auction!
The mentioned charity auction will be taking place this Friday, April 18th, in Gotham City at the Emile Wayne memorial event hall and is sponsored by Wayne Enterprises. The Daily Planet’s Gotham City correspondent will be reporting on the event live, as many of Gotham’s wealthiest are expected to attend.
If you would like to learn more about the Neon Knights initiative or donate to their work, their website is neonknightsinitative.org and all necessary information can be found on their page.
BatWayne: Everyone's Favorite Celebrity x Hero Ship!
11 January 2025
Written by Augusta M. Barlow
Ask your friends, your mother, the random old man living down the street, about BatWayne and everyone will say “Yeah, I’ve heard of that!” But just what is this “BatWayne” and how did it become so popular?
BatWayne is the colloquial term for the well-known ship between famous celebrity and public icon Bruce Thomas Wayne, and the rarely seen urban legend vigilante of Gotham City, Batman. The ship was first created after rumors of Batman’s existence began to circulate in Gotham City two and a half decades ago. However, it quickly rose to prominence following Batman’s first crashing of Bruce Wayne’s biannual charity gala. Bruce Wayne had disappeared in the commotion of Batman battling the supervillain Penguin’s goons, only to later resurface with the claim that Batman had locked him in a side room for his own safety. The internet, predictably, exploded.
Another notable BatWayne moment is when Bruce Wayne was spotted being saved by Spoiler, one of the Gotham vigilantes that people theorize is one of Batman’s children. Spoiler was reportedly very friendly to Wayne, and very familiar around him, leading fans of BatWayne to speculate that Wayne and Spoiler had previously interacted. Perhaps it was when Batman introduced his partner to his children?
Fans of the celebrity ship also point to the fact that Bruce Wayne’s children have some of the highest kidnapping rescue times in Gotham City, even down to just a few minutes! When Timothy Jackson Drake-Wayne, Bruce Wayne’s fourth adopted child and the young CEO of Wayne Enterprises was kidnapped off the street three months ago, he was rescued by Nightwing in only four minutes. The kidnappers’ van hadn’t even made it two blocks. Why would the Wayne children apparently be so much more heavily watched than the other citizens of the city, unless Batman and his colleagues saw them as family because of Batman and Bruce Wayne’s relationship?

Finally, fans have pointed out that Bruce Wayne appears to have a much more favorable view of Gotham’s resident vigilantes than most of the grim city’s elite. Other top members of society have repeatedly criticized Batman’s near free-reign, with the failure of the GCPD to hunt him down, and how almost all of their parties seem to now end in a Bat fighting with a supervillain. However, when Bruce Wayne was asked about his opinion on the Gotham vigilantes, he said that “I believe they are doing good work. Gotham is a hard city to live in, and the Bats are trying their own methods to help the people. It isn’t legal and has very little oversight, but many other cities have similar issues with their own heroes. Look at Superman or The Flash. They also aren’t overseen by their police departments, and work largely independently like Batman, but their intentions are known to be good. I believe the same of Batman.” Maybe the reason Bruce Wayne was so defensive of Batman’s intentions is because he’s secretly dating him and didn’t want to attack his partner?
There are, of course, a multitude of other reasons people ship BatWayne, such as the way Batman carried Bruce Wayne the single time we’ve seen him save the billionaire, the huge charity donations that Wayne gives to clean up Batman’s property damage, and the numerous interactions between their respective children. However, while this ship is extremely popular, we will likely, unfortunately, never see confirmation of it. Batman remains a very private hero, despite being a founding member of the Justice League, and Bruce Wayne maintains his billionaire playboy appearance. So sorry to all their loyal fans out there. Maybe one day your dreams will come true!

Theromise Health Makes Drug out of Children's Blood
March 24th, 2025
Written By: Clark Kent
Theromise Health, the revolutionary genetic company currently based out of Gotham City, has stolen the blood of children trapped in Faultless Juvenile Detention Center and used it in experimental medical treatments on Gotham’s elite. Sangraal, as this new drug is named, reportedly extends a person’s lifetime, slows down the aging process, and reverses current symptoms of aging. It essentially functions as a real-life ‘fountain of youth,’ a clever callback to the drug’s name, another term for the Holy Grail.
However, in practice, this grail is far from holy. I received a packet of documents from elusive Justice League member Batman, which were then verified and confirmed by Superman. They detailed how Theromise Health has established a partnership with Faultless Juvenile Detention Center in Gotham City. Faultless extracts blood from its captive child prisoners, after subjecting them to inhumane treatments such as beatings, withholding of food, and prolonged isolation.
This blood is then transported to the headquarters of Theromise Health, where it was treated by a select group of people. The chemicals used increased the potency of the blood’s innate telomeres, the protective caps of DNA and proteins found at the end of chromosomes. Theromise Health would also target the biological makeup of the platelets, tiny blood cells that help your blood clot, and give them the ability to survive in another person’s bloodstream.
These adjustments to the blood extracted from children, combined with the rest of the molecular compounds present in Sangraal, were responsible for the recorded effects on the recipient’s biological aging. Side effects of the drug included extreme exhaustion and mild nausea, but the long-term effects haven’t been studied yet.
Among those administered the Sangraal drug were elderly Gotham socialites Daniel and Gina O’Malley, who appear at least a decade younger now. The most high profile recipient however, was Bruce Thomas Wayne. Wayne had only received the first dose of the drug, but even that contained stolen children’s blood.
Bruce Wayne and the CEO of Theromise Health, Scarlett Martha Scott, have a history together. Tabloids have recently accused them of being in a relationship, since they have been spotted together at restaurants and shows repeatedly. They have neither confirmed or denied these accusations.
Scarlett Martha Scott and Bruce Wayne pictured together at a party celebrating the success of a top secret drug designed by Theromise Health, now known to be Sangraal (Image: @GothamCelebNews on L)
However, in addition to the speculated relationship, Scott worked as the chief geneticist at Wayne Enterprises twelve years ago. She left the company after receiving hefty external investments to establish her own company, Thermoise Health. The company’s headquarters shifted locations multiple times, moving between New York City, Los Angeles, and Chicago, before finally returning to Gotham City seven months ago.
When Bruce Wayne was asked for a comment on the blood of children being used in his treatment, he stated that “I had no idea about this. Scarlett didn’t tell me, and it wasn’t in the medical documents and waivers I had my lawyer read before starting the treatment. This is absolutely horrific.” Wayne has announced that he will be donating three million dollars to reforming Faultless and compensating the victims and their families.
Theromise Health and Faultless Juvenile Detention Center’s actions are horrific and can only truly be compared to a form of modern day vampirism. Using the forcibly extracted blood of abused children in prison is nothing short of villainous. I can only hope that the authorities, with the assistance of Batman and the documents he provided, will act swiftly.
Hundreds Nearly Die as Memento Mori Killer Strikes Again!
May 16th, 2025
Written By: Piera Landen
Last night, the Vauxhall Opera House in downtown Gotham City was filled to capacity as opera fans listened to a highly-acclaimed rendition of Giuseppe Verdi’s Aida. Little did they know, they were only moments away from facing down the notorious mass-murderer Memento Mori. Nor did they know they sat in the exact location where, in 1941, an explosion led to the stage collapse that killed all 21 cast members of another production of Aida.
If you haven’t been following the developing Memento Mori case in Gotham, then you may only remember the prior string of murders in London. In 2001, a serial killer known only as Memento Mori swept across London, leaving behind gruesome crime scenes that resembled historical murder scenes. One of the most famous examples from the London murders was the brutal slaughter of an entire dinner party at the Maison Étoile, in echo of the Greaves Dinner Massacre.
Thankfully, Scotland Yard eventually arrested Professor Atticus Blye, one of their retired detectives turned crime-scene instructor. Blye was discovered in his flat, covered in one of the victim’s blood and surrounded by irrefutable evidence. There was clothing with more victims’ blood, artifacts from a memento cult, and a plaster death mask that lined up with descriptions given by witnesses.
Blye was arrested and charged with murder, but determined to be too insane to serve time in prison. Scotland Yard decreed Blye’s murders as copycat killings of similar Memento killers in the past, and closed the case. Blye was committed to Broadmoor High-Security Psychiatric Hospital, where he later died in 2011. The world believed that to be the end of the Memento Mori killings.
At least, until a fire began at Bruce Wayne’s Sacred Heart Medical Center fundraiser three weeks ago. The fire, starting in the boiler room, resembled the blaze which claimed the lives of two dozen Sacred Heart patients and staff dead a century ago. Thankfully no one died this time, with the only casualty being a young girl crushed by a falling chandelier. Her life was saved due to the quick actions of Dr. Malik Bashar and young Damian Wayne, and she is expected to make a full recovery.

But the attacks continued, soon followed by a ship crash at the southern Gotham Docks which claimed the lives of five gang members, a massacre of 27 ‘Mementist’ true-crime fans in the ruins of the recently collapsed Arkham Asylum, and a near jail-break at Arkham Tower. The last of the attacks, until last night, was the murder of Dr. Bashar in the sub-basement of Sacred Heart Medical Center.
All of these attacks in quick succession have confirmed the terrifying truth: a Memento Mori killer, believed to be a copycat of Blye’s murders, is loose in Gotham City.
Vauxhall Opera House was the latest attempted attack of Memento Mori, with the killer themself appearing onstage with a bomb strapped to their chest. Thankfully, due to the quick intervention of the elusive Batman and Police Nationale of Paris detective and Memento Mori expert Katherine Lautrec, the attacker was apprehended and the bomb disarmed.
Travis Grimwell, dressed up as Memento Mori to attack the Vauxhall Opera House. Thankfully, he was apprehended. (Image Credit: @Alyssa.Morgan on L)
The Memento Mori killer was identified as Travis Grimwell, the organizer of the International Mementist Society. Grimwell has been missing since the attack at Arkham Asylum, which he was present for, in addition to fellow Mementists Eddie Burroughs and Jenson Reggie. Reggie was identified as the perpetrator of the attack on Arkham Tower, but Burroughs whereabouts remain unknown.
Lautrec, in a press release, stated that “we believe the three Mementists are being coerced by the true Memento killer to carry out their orders. Grimwell will remain in GCPD custody, but anyone with information on the whereabouts of Burroughs should please contact the GCPD immediately. The real Memento Mori copycat still remains at large.”
If you are in Gotham City, or plan to visit the city soon, please remain alert and vigilant. Hopefully Memento Mori will soon be caught, once and for all.

The eco-terrorist supervillain Poison Ivy, known for her large scale attacks that make use of mind-controlling plant pollens, was finally located earlier today after a long disappearance. The GCPD received word that she was hiding out in the ruins of Marshview, just outside of Gotham City. However, while attempting to arrest her, the GCPD was attacked by fellow supervillain Killer Croc and known eco-terrorist group The Order of the Green Knight. Poison Ivy and The Order of the Green Knight escaped, but Killer Croc was taken into custody.
Marshview was established in the late 1950s as a suburban expansion for residents of Gotham City. The town was built in the marshes to the north-west of Gotham City, and proved very successful for its first year of operation. Unfortunately, the contractors did not recognize the danger of the marshes, which soon proved to be fatal for the town.
Incoming tides routinely flooded the bottom few feet of Marshview, pipelines burst and released toxic swamp gas into the atmosphere, and people began to get sick in droves. Some of the town’s residents left, but many remained. That proved to be their final mistake, as those left soon succumbed to the poisonous air. Many of them experienced vivid hallucinations in their final weeks.
Marshview flooded in 1958, killing many residents and leading to the migration of some of the survivors. Those who remained perished from the toxic air. (Image Credit: Gotham City Archives)
Environmental investigators later determined that the natural flora around Marshview had developed in the perfect mixture to slowly infect and poison residents with plant pollens and water contaminants. The ruins of Marshview were abandoned, and the surrounding areas declared a national wildlife refuge to prevent any later attempts at development. Marshviews exact location was soon lost, reclaimed and buried by the plant growth in the area.
However, notorious Gotham supervillain Poison Ivy appears to have discovered the location of Marshview and turned it into her base of operations. Poison Ivy has been missing since she reportedly bombed a grocery store in downtown Gotham City two months ago. The GCPD never stopped searching for her with the assistance of Gotham’s elusive vigilantes, but Ivy was never located.
Until earlier today that is, when the GCPD received an anonymous tip claiming they saw Poison Ivy in the ruins of Marshview. The GCPD surrounded Marshview with multiple squads of heavily equipped and metahuman trained officers, and multiple police helicopters.
“She appeared to be alone at first,” explained Detective Jespson, the GCPD officer in charge of the assault. “Our officers surrounded her and managed to beat her after taking some heavy damage. We even had her in cuffs, until Croc and those Order guys showed up out of nowhere.”
GCPD officers surrounded Poison Ivy and initially succeeded in subduing her. (Image Credit: Loyd Maxwell, Gotham Gazette)
Poison Ivy was rescued by fellow Gotham supervillain Killer Croc and members of the eco-terrorist group The Order of the Green Knight. Very little is known about the group aside from their similar views to Poison Ivy and their handful of attacks on cities. The attackers succeeded in freeing Poison Ivy, but Killer Croc was taken into custody. None of the Order members were arrested. Killer Croc is now en-route to Arkham Tower, where he will be imprisoned and monitored 24/7 by guards.
The sudden appearance of Killer Croc and the Order of the Green Knight can’t help but leave us wondering whether they may be working together. And if they are, then what does that mean for the environments of the world? We here at the Daily Planet will be sure to keep you updated on any developments.

Theromise Healthcare, the Gotham-based company making medicine from the blood of incarcerated children in a form of modern-day vampirism, has officially been stopped. Rumors indicate that the Faultless Juvenile Detention Center has been stormed by an assortment of Gotham’s elusive vigilantes, and the children involved rescued. Scarlett Martha Scott, founder and CEO of Theromise Healthcare, is under active investigation.
For those of you who missed our last update on Theromise Healthcare, linked here, the company was recently exposed for stealing the blood of children to make a drug named Sangraal that restored the youth of Gotham’s elite. The mysterious Batman delivered a file of information to Daily Planet reporter Clark Kent, who verified the contents and identity of Batman with Metropolis’ very own Superman. Clark Kent then published an exposé in the next morning’s copy of the Daily Planet, bringing the numerous crimes of Theromise Healthcare and Faultless Juvenile Detention Center to light.
Immediately following the breaking news, the headquarters of Theromise Healthcare in downtown Gotham City exploded in an unknown attack. Thankfully, only Scarlett Martha Scott and her lead doctor, Dr. Bridgett Forster, were in the vicinity of the explosion. Rumors indicate that Batman swiftly rescued them, though the GCPD has refused to comment on the urban myth’s potential involvement in the affair.

The GCPD also refused to comment on the rumors that multiple other Gotham vigilantes, such as Batgirl, Robin, and Signal, were spotted attacking the Faultless Juvenile Detention Center on the edge of Gotham City. But regardless of whether the elusive Gotham vigilantes were involved or not, the GCPD did confirm that the guards aware of the Sangraal scheme have been taken into custody and that Warden Slattery has been arrested under suspicion of assault, child abuse, child exploitation, coercion, embezzlement, and fraud. He has been placed into Blackgate to await trial.
Similarly, Dr. Bridgett Forester, after being taken into custody by the GCPD, was further investigated and determined to be an alias. The real Bridgett Forster reportedly died of malaria a decade ago. The official GCPD press release confirmed that Dr. Bridgett Forster’s DNA matched that of Evelyn Scott, the mother of Scarlett Martha Scott. They also confirmed Evelyn Scott’s identity as the recently surfaced serial killer acting in Gotham City under the name Asema. Evelyn is responsible for the murder of multiple children released from Faultless Juvenile Detention Center, and the abduction and attempted murder of her former sexual partner, Joe Chill. She is also now in Blackgate, awaiting trial for child exploitation, unethical human experimentation, and medical fraud.
Scarlett Martha Scott is not currently in custody, however the GCPD has explained that they are keeping a close eye on her while they investigate her potential knowledge of the events. The GCPD has similarly determined, after testing her DNA for traces of Sangraal, that Ms. Scott’s father was none other than the same Joe Chill that her mother attempted to kill. Joe Chill is also the man who famously murdered Martha and Thomas Wayne, the parents of billionaire Bruce Wayne, whom Scarlett was rumored to be secretly dating. However, the two appear to have broken off whatever relationship they had following the revelation, and Joe Chill is being treated in Gotham Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained in Evelyn Scott’s attack.
Bruce Wayne has also pledged to devote Wayne Enterprises’ extensive legal team to assisting in the shutdown of Faultless Juvenile Detention Center. Instead, he announced, they will be creating a new organization dedicated to the successful rehabilitation and reintegration of criminals with a particular emphasis on young offenders. This organization will likely work closely with his adoptive son Timothy Drake-Wayne’s already existing Neon Knights Initiative that focuses on helping at-risk teenagers and preventing first offenses (read our interview with Mr. Drake-Wayne about the initiative here!).
All in all, Theromise Healthcare will not be operating again for a long time, if ever. And hopefully the children and families affected by the Sangraal and Faultless scheme will receive some closure, after Wayne Enterprises’ lawyers succeed in shutting down the detention center. But for now, the GCPD has relocated the inmates to a secure facility, and vowed to protect them. And we at the Daily Planet sincerely hope they receive the justice they deserve for the atrocities committed on them.
