I really think that Danny & Vlad should be extremely wary of telling anyone the exact way they became half ghost, not just because of all the emotional turmoil that came with the event, but also because of just how dangerously repeatable the process is.
You literally just have to be standing in the portal/within the blast radius of the portal to get turned into a halfa. The process is demonstrably repeatable given both Vlad's existence & the fact that Danny actually goes through it again during the series.
(side note, is that why the hole for the portal is so deep? Because they saw how far the blast from the portal fans out with the proto-portal & made it sunken into the wall as a safety measure?)
Personally, as much as I love the casual How I Died explanation from Danny, I think he'd be very careful not to actually tell people how straight-forward the accident actually was.
The average joe might have trouble getting a portal, but like. The fentons are thrilled to show off their tech to anyone who asks, and their security system is spotty at best. breaking in & turning off the portal would be the hardest part.
and that's with the average person! Someone with power, like members of the GIW? Oh it'd be far, far too easy.
With the premise and cover art of Fair Game getting released recently, i would like to do some general analysis of things i noticed and maybe how this could be tied to the graphic novel's plot.
First of all the premise is in part about how Danny is seen as an enemy in Amity Park because in this timeline ghosts were blamed for the asteroid event happening.
This already gives a lot of vibes to the episode ¨Public Enemies¨, when Walker tricks the whole city into thinking that Danny is their enemy. It is also the episode that Wulf was introduced and became an ally for Danny.
This is another important aspect because Fair Game has Wolf being one of the protagonists of the book by asking Danny for help with looking for a ¨wolf cub¨ of his (who is very likely Danielle).
Speaking of Danielle, her part of the cover shares a lot similarities with the title card of episode ¨The Million Dollar Ghost¨
In ¨The Million Dollar Ghost¨ has Danny being hunted by tons of ghosthunters that were payed by Vlad as a distraction while he steals the Fenton Portal.
In the Fair Game premise it describes Danielle being chased down by Danny's classmates to hunt her, much like it the Million Dollar Ghost episode happens to Danny.
Maybe we could see some parallels or references in Fair Game to The Million Dollar Ghost episode if the book cover is makes reference to that.
Another thing one can notice from the book cover is that story mostly seems like it going to take place in a nearby forest.
This reminds me a lot of ¨Claw of the Wild¨ episode, that takes place in a camp in a forest too. In addition to this, it happens to be an episode in which Wulf is a protagonist.
Other episode that takes place in the wilderness is ¨Maternal Instincs¨ with Danny and Maddie as protagonists. However, i think ¨Claw of the Wild¨ episode makes more sense in here since Wulf is a central character in Fair Game.
On last point, Fair Game starts both Valerie and Danielle as protagonists in the story, with i assume would be Valerie as part of plot A and Danielle as plot B.
One's mind quickly jumps to the Season 3 episode ¨D-Stabilized¨, which has Valerie meeting Danielle and in the end her helping with saving Dani from Vlad.
Both Danielle and Valerie get some good development in this episode and it is last time they both have an important role since the episode that follows it is the series finale.
Despite being recognized as one of the best episodes in the series, one issue that the fans have with D-Stabilized is that the plot that sets up at the end with Valerie learning about Vlad being Plasmius never got a proper conclusion within the show. Not only that, Valerie didn't get a satisfying conclusion for her character arc neither nor getting a proper scene when she learns that Danny is Phantom.
So what i could see happening is that the events of D-Stabilized are going to play a crucial role in the plot of Fair Game. We are very likely going to get some form of conclusion for Valerie's character arc that the series didn't give her.
What i'm curious about is that if Vlad could play some secondary plot in this novel since his character is both tied to Valerie and Danielle's. If there is one thing i would like to see is Vlad having a conversation with them and apologizing for the way he treated them if he is still trying to make amends.
Both Valerie and Danielle need to have some form of closure with Vlad, specially Valerie because the series set up for that plotline that was never given continuation.
These would be the parallels i found with the new things that have been revealed of Fair Game and some of the ideas of what i think the story of the novel could go. If more gets revealed later on i could make another post like this one.
Small Danny Phantom theory that I have: Ghosts have a different color language to humans. Many of the Ghost Zone's most powerful, dangerous, feared, and malevolent denizens have green eyes and coloration. Meanwhile, some of the most passive and harmless ghosts have red eyes and coloration. So I tend to think that according to ghost color language, red means good (or harmless) while green means evil (or danger more generally).
General predictions for Danny Phantom A Glitch on Time graphic novel
Because Danny Phantom A Glitch on Time graphic novel date release is about a month and a half away and i’m being perfectly normal about it, i want to share some theories and predictions i have for the novel story and character arcs.
So, let’s start:
1) Danny and Vlad may be the main protagonists of ¨A Glitch on Time¨
There has been multiple hints so far that indicate that these two are going to be getting the main focus of the plot.
To start with, the main antagonist of this story is Dan/Dark Danny, who we know it was created by Danny and Vlad in an alternative timeline. This alone already ties these two characters together because they can’t be separated from Dan’s creation even if it was avoided in the current timeline.
Another important hint is the cover of the graphic novel: Danny and Vlad are huge in size in comparison to Sam and Tucker who are way smaller, indicating they could have a more secondary or supportive role.
I’m not an expert in graphic design but i’m sure that the size of the characters more or less points out how important a character is going to be in a story.
What’s more, Gabriela, the author from the novel, has made a few artworks to hype the graphic novel up.
What is interesting about these artworks is the order of the characters she has drawn:
1) Danny Fenton/Phantom
2) Vlad Plasmius
3) Dan Phantom/Dark Danny
Gabriela didn’t draw Sam nor Tucker after drawing Danny despite Sam and Tucker appearing more often in the show. She drew Vlad Plasmius and Dark Danny after that.
This could further support the idea that the focus is going to be on Danny, Vlad and Dan Phantom (as main antagonist).
2) Why Vlad does know about Dan Phantom?
One of the most interesting things about the premise of ¨A Glitch In Time¨ is how Masters knows about Dark Danny when he never learned about him on canon from the series (as far as we know).
Danny Phantom takes readers on a time traveling adventure that takes place directly after the series finale with the original ghost gang: Danny Fenton and his best friends Sam Manson and Tucker Foley! When the gang starts experiences time travel glitches, Danny’s archnemesis Vlad Masters arrives on his doorstep with terrifying news: Dark Danny has escaped his prison!
How does he knows about this? Dan Phantom is from an alternative timeline and the only few that know about the event are Jazz, Sam and Tucker (you could count Jack and Maddie if Danny told them about it).
One explanation i have is that Vlad might have been involved with Dan escaping from the thermos, either intentionally or by accident. I would like to think that the second option is more likely to be true since he woke up the Ghost King in ¨Reign Storm¨ without fully thinking things through.
From there two things could have happened:
1) Vlad is working for or with Dan for unspecified reasons. He is pretending to be Danny’s ally while he is working for Dan. It isn’t out of place for Vlad to do this since he tried asking the Fright Knight a favor a few times in ¨Reign Storm¨. It would make sense to him to work out some kind of deal with Dan.
2) Dark Danny beat Vlad up and in desperation to save himself he went to Danny’s to ask for his help. Vlad has teamed up with Danny a few times in the show when facing a stronger opponent. In the episode ¨Reign Storm¨ against the Ghost King’s army and the Fright Knight and in ¨Torrent of Terror¨ against Vortex.
Both options fit with his character and would explain why he knows about who Dark Danny is.
3) Dan Phantom’s goal in the story
Based on the other part of ¨A Glitch in Time¨ premise Dan may be the reason of why the time travel glitches are happening:
Danny must then get his friends together and partner with Vlad to jump through time and space and unlock secrets of the Ghost Zone! But can they make it back to Amity Park before Dark Danny destroys the ghost gang’s entire world?
So apparently Dan Phantom’s goal in the plot is to destroy and hurt people just like he was doing in his alternative timeline, except he also appears that he is trying to mess with time and space itself because the premise mentions how the entire world could get destroyed.
Gabriela’s artwork of Dan hints that Dan could be suffering from some sort of ¨time power corruption¨. It’s possible that he absorbed part of Clockwork’ time powers.
Gabriela mentions in the same tweet that ¨Dark Danny is back and worse than ever¨, meaning that something must had happened to him that made him become more dangerous than he was.
If he is in this ¨corrupted¨ state, he couldn’t be aware of his own actions and be a lot more violent and unpredictable.
4) Jazz and Valerie’s role in the story
The ¨A Glitch in Time¨ book back cover has Jazz and Valerie going to what would be Clockwork’s tower.
I have talked about how Danny and Vlad being the main protagonists of this story makes sense since Dan is the main antagonist. Because Valerie had some importance in The Ultimate Enemy as Dark Danny’s rival in the alternative timeline, it wouldn’t be surprising if she played some supporting role in the plot.
It could be that Jazz and Valerie take part in the ¨B plot¨ of the story while Danny and the team participate in the main plot. Maybe Jazz and Valerie go to Clockwork’s tower to check out what is causing the time glitches and find Clockwork while the rest are elsewhere ¨unlocking secrets of the Ghost Zone¨.
In my personal opinion, it would be nice for Valerie to have some important character moment since her arc didn’t have a proper conclusion in the original series. Jazz could have a role helping Valerie with working with her issues since Jazz often emotionally supports other characters. It could also be interesting to see how their dynamic works considering it wasn’t explored in the original show.

So, there you have some of my predictions. While it is rather uncertain where the story could go, these are the things that i consider that are going to happen in ¨A Glitch in Time¨.
If more information comes out, i could write a follow up to this and change some things if necessary.
Vlad somehow got it to work differently to the Fenton Portal.
Somebody died, at least halfway, to open it.
The simpler answer, likely the one we were meant to accept as viewers, is the first. The Fentons screwed up their Portal somehow, and Vlad either didn't make that mistake, or corrected it somewhere down the line.
But what if that's not the case?
We know Vlad's Portal is in the basement of his mansion, so it was either moved there when the mansion was *ahem* acquired, or it was built later.
If it was moved, then it's possible Vlad became a halfa similarly to Danny.
Feeling dismissed by his colleagues, he tried to prove himself by building a portal of his own. When it didn't open, he stepped inside to find what he missed, and managed to start it up...
But if Vlad's Portal was built later on, after he became a halfa, we come to a line of questioning that makes my writer brain buzz at the possibilities:
Who died to start the Portal?
Did they become a halfa?
Are they still (half)alive somewhere?
Where are they, and why don't we see any evidence of them in the show?
It's this last question that makes me stop.
Do we see evidence of another halfa?
Clearly, none of the ghosts Danny's met know of any besides him and Vlad, buf if Vlad's been hiding one away, they wouldn't know about them, whether they exist or not.
Really, the only person who'd know if Vlad made another halfa is Vlad.
Vlad, who has devices specifically designed to work on halfas, like the Plasmius Maximus.
Vlad, who has enough self-worth not to test such a device on himself, but not quite enough compassion to not test it on someone else.
Vlad, who has sub-basements on sub-basements and at least one cabin in the woods, any of which could be used to hide someone away.
Definitely something I'll be thinking about for a while...
So most people recognize the daffodil. They're one of the first plants of spring and greatly associated with that time of year.
The Greek and Latin name, Narcissus, arises due to the myth of Echo and Narcissus. When Narcissus died, the flower arose.
Interestingly, the word daffodil is believed to possibly stem from the word asphodel, which is a species of lily with a similar flower shape. Also in Greek mythology, the Asphodel fields were the place in Hades where neutral shades/ghosts wondered. Whether that origin is true or not, that is an interesting correlation due to how toxic daffodils are.
All parts of the plants are toxic. To my knowledge, all reported deaths have been accidental. Their bulbs are sometimes mistaken for wild onions and garlic. There is no antidote, but supportive care often works well. Daffodils will kill other flowers in a vase due to the toxic sap, but you can use them to help protect the bulbs/roots of other flowers in your gardens. As a side note, the medication galantamine (brand name Razadyne), used to treat Alzheimer's, was created from Daffodils. I've mentioned this before, but the use of toxic plants to make medicine is very common.
In some folklore, finding wild ones can indicate where there is/was an area more spiritual than others. In Wales, if you can find the very first daffodil bloom of the year, good luck will come your way. Giving a person one daffodil is bad luck, but a bouquet of them is good luck. In some Chinese lore, daffodils blooming during the New Year will bring prosperity.
For our DP lore, firstly, in some areas of Europe, they used to be a marker for areas of natural portals, similar to spider lilies in the east, though their use has been forgotten over the years. In the GZ proper, that variety is, for unknown reasons, huge. They are also much less toxic than their earthly counterparts and are better suited for medication use.
@distantradiance, I'm going to use your ideas, but not for this post. I have decided those ideas fit better with a different species. :)
