Okay, episode s3ep05 was genuinely one of the best episodes of SNW and also a chilling one. I felt so sad for Gamble and M'Benga :( and that ending with the computer changing languages??? majestic

Quarter-Finals
Dr. Joseph M’Benga vs. Captain Christopher Pike!
Joseph M’Benga
Christopher Pike
God the (actual) dads are going THRU if this episode.
M’Benga calling Arianna his daughter on accident (OW.) 😭
I also think that’s why Sam gets so pissed at Spock. (Sidenote: Pike breaking it up like a dad being like “HEY! Don’t be mean to Spock, Hemmer you talk first” lol) I mean, he’s not Jim and he’s under a lot of stress. His wife’s either pregnant or his son is a very young baby (I know by operation: annihilate his son’s either 9 or 10). So he’s probably extra on edge about staying alive and shit, so that anger/fear got way displaced.
This week’s episode of Strange New Worlds made me cry
Why do I always forget about Dr. M’benga?
I barely had time to watch episode 7, and I must admit that this documentary made me doubt for a moment because there is a lot of talk about how they are not soldiers but explorers. However, we have also seen them many times in the middle of conflicts and sometimes not discovering new worlds and new civilizations.
For a moment I was afraid that the starfleet wouldn't do the right thing and would end up giving Jikaru to the Lutani (I had flashbacks of Into Darkness) I'm glad I was wrong but the ending was so sad with that creature committing suicide.
Besides, I don't like Beto anymore. He was an idiot to Uhura and M'Benga.
I've seen mixed opinions on this episode, what do you think?
Ok strange new worlds you made me cry over Dr. M’Benga.
We don’t actually know for sure that Dr. M'Benga ISN’T in St: Beyond and even if he isn’t he’s in my FIC now so yup
