"The hell're you doing with your arm, freak?"

A lazy smile graces your lips as your arm, stretched high to the endless clouds, sways with the breeze. "Enjoying my break," you call back to an approaching Levi. "Something you should do every once in a while."

"We have an--"

"Expedition in two weeks," you interrupt, turning a chin once he unceremoniously drops to the grass beside you. "What's the point in any of this if we don't enjoy the surface for ourselves?"

Without warning, you reach for his hand. Levi doesn't flinch.

"Hand out," you order. "That's an order, Captain."

My Brooklyn Baby

Today, Bucky convinced me to take my fitness routine outside like a old-timey human and ditch my boring treadmill run in the Watchtower. Something about running on uneven ground, working on balance and motor skills in the real world. I think he really missed his home borough a bit, because he wanted to run down to and over the Brooklyn Bridge.

To be perfectly fair, as we sit here now having coffee and blueberry pancakes waterfront at a little cafe in Dumbo, Brooklyn, the crisp morning breeze balancing out the bright fall sun, there was definitely merit to his idea.

Oak Ranch Pokemon Behaviour Observation Journal, YYYY/MM/DD

The breeze seems to be getting to the flying types today, many of them have been racing around much more than usual. Some have gone a little overboard and had to be rescued by ranch staff. As usual, the worst culprits are Ash Ketchum's Pokemon, Bulbasaur has only been able to do so much to keep them from tearing down trees and shattering windows with the speed of their flying.

Need to call in contractor to replace broken windows and update the following trainers on medical treatments recieved by their pokemon:

Drabble Collective 2025

Day 20: Breeze - @thedrabblecollective

This, as well as all of the other drabbles I’ll be doing for this challenge, are meant to be (out of order) parts of a novel I’m working on, so they probably won’t make much sense on their own.

When Cedar got up from the piano bench and made for the stairs, she felt something that shook her slightly. It was as if the air, which had developed a mild chill, was brushing against her softly. Her hair and clothes moved with it ever so slightly, and she felt something that could only be described as a twinkle on her skin. Attention diverted almost entirely from the tower’s transformation, she turned her head this way and that, but the movement was gone. It was a while before she realized that what had just happened was something called a breeze.

A chilly breeze woke Liselotte up. Half-asleep, she blinked at a familiar figure standing in front of her open bedroom window. Her naked body shivered under the blanket and she pulled it up higher. The noise drew the figure's attention.

"Sorry. Didn't mean to wake you up."

Engetsu approached the bed and stroked her hair. Liselotte leaned into his hand, mumbling.

"Where are you going?"

"Back to my room. It's late."

"Stay."

"And risk getting caught by Alto? No, thank you."

She frowned.

"Why the window?"

"Again, I don't want to run into Alto outside your door." He chuckled. "Sleep."

Day 20 - Breeze

Meowth's fur wasn't enough to protect him from the chill of the breeze that pushed along Team Rocket's balloon, so he was huddled into a coat. As were Jessie and James, both complaining bitterly about the cold. Meowth would have joined them, but he was too tired, having been unable to sleep through James's snoring and Jessie's sleep talking.

Times like these, he regretted teaming back up with the two humans, but he knew he'd forget that line of thought if he left them again. They were annoyances, obsessive and rude and bossy and violent, but they were his annoyances.
