As you can see, I am capable of doing both short stories and multiple-chapter stories. I work best with prompts but I’m very flexible.

So, remember in my last letter how I told you everything was under control? As you may have guessed given my track record, it turned out to be worse than we thought. As in, experimental darkspawn magic and mad hordes of enlightened darkspawn levels of bad.

Injured but determined to see his job through, Ren Amell and his new wardens delve into the Deep Roads to chase down the last of the Architect's awakened darkspawn. The return to the dank underground has the Warden-Commander longing for his safer, simpler existence as Chancellor to King Alistair, as well as dredging up some buried feelings about his friend. He deals with it about as well as can be expected.

You know what, I don't think Cullen needed a redemption arc. DAO and DA2 Cullen worked because he was an excellent example of how in Thedas too, if you look a certain way, if you appear palatable to the Chantry, you can mysteriously continue finding yourself in positions of power even after abusing those positions. I think giving Cullen a redemption arc messes with the politics his character ended up representing. Cullen's story is not about his personal suffering, it's not about him at all. It's about his role in the larger abusive machine of the Circles and the Chantry, and it should have been left that way.

His writing in Inquisition only serves to distract from the true point his story had always previously been making (that the Circle system was abusive and the Chantry corrupt), by making it so personal and even giving him this sub-par sub-plot rivalry with Samson.

He didn’t need a redemption, his story was finished.
